My family loves tradition, but for Thanksgiving, we like to mix it up. Every year, we keep the basic elements of the Thanksgiving meal — turkey, stuffing, potatoes, some kind of green vegetable — the same, but we vary up their preparation. We've done fried turkey, smoked turkey, and bourbon-glazed turkey; mashed celery root, roasted cauliflower, and brussels sprouts gratin; sausage stuffing, cornbread stuffing, and herbed stuffing. It's always a new adventure, and always delicious!
