Since the vast majority of you love turkey day leftovers as much as the meal itself, I thought I'd share my favorite post-supper pointer for those who are hosting this year.
Any time you order takeout, delivery, or take home a doggy bag between now and Thanksgiving, be sure to hand wash and reserve some of the plastic takeout containers that you get from restaurants. That way, on Thanksgiving day, you can send your guests home happy with leftovers of their choice — and you won't be short any servingware.

I do this all the time! They've really improved the quality of takeout containers.
1I don't order takeout, but I use Cool Whip bowls for leftovers -- and sometimes microwave-scrambled eggs (I'm high class, I know, lol), so I can just throw away the bowl instead of having to try to clean the egg off. Cool whip containers are nice because they're (to an extent) microwavable as well.
2I ask friends to bring their storage containers when I invite them for dinner. This way everyone is already plotting what they are going to pack while we are eating dinner.
3I like to save mine too. They really come in handy for a short while. I can take them to work for lunch, toss them in the park trash can, and never have to worry about carrying it with me when I go.
