Theo Fennell Silver Bottle Sleeve: Love It or Hate It?

When BabySugar showed me this sterling silver ketchup sleeve by British jeweler Theo Fennell, I couldn't help but laugh. Bling for a regular bottle of Heinz is absolutely absurd! While there is a time and place for fabulous excessiveness, at $1800, this silver sleeve is simply too much for me. Do you agree?

I guess I don't understand WHY it's $1800??? Is it super fancy silver or what? I do like it, but would never buy it.

I boycott Heinz. So this is a no go for me. Of course any brand, it's a waste of money.

I love it, but I wouldn't buy it. Though this would go nicely with a silver hotdog holder (that looks like a hotdog wrapper but is really made of real silver - this only exists in my head as far as I know...)

I was about to say I loved it until I saw the price. yeeeeah not so much. As for it being absurd . . . I don't think anything that makes you smile is absurd, why shouldn't ordinary everyday things be pretty??
