Hmm...We've never used my mom's sugar cookies as ornaments. I don't think they're capable of being hung. They're yummy.

Russian Tea Cookies and Mexican Wedding Cookies are almost exactly the same, you couldn't tell my looking at them which is which!

Um, yeah, number 4 are definitely Mexican Wedding Cookies...and if not, I'd like to know what the difference between them and Russian Tea Cakes are! Glad to see that I'm not the only one who missed that one...

I don't really like any of these cookies. Gimme some chocolate! Rosa, I believe reindeer dropping cookies are the round peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate....mmm now those are yummy!

Not Mexican Wedding Cookies? I just made those two nights ago and they look just like that....lol..maybe I inadvertently made Russian tea cakes? Either way, they were good :) :)

Oh and an update on my attempt at baking (why do I bother?!) I used this recipe : http://www.recipe4living.com/Recipe/58840-Snickerdoodles.aspx They turned out ok, but next time I'd reduce the salt and increase the cooking time and cinnamon/nutmeg ratio..having said that my boyfriend just ate about 7 while I was looking for a pretty plate to put them on so I must've done something right!

Russian Tea cakes sound and look a lot like Kourabiedes, a Greek shortbread like biscuit (quite often crescent shaped) traditionally made for Christmas. I'll never forget the year my grandmother 'dusted' them with baking powder instead of icing sugar and we all had to pretend to love them so as to not hurt her feelings..!

PFFT! Mexican Wedding Cakes and Russian Tea cakes are practically the same darn thing! I called them Mexican because that's how I know them in my family. My uncle makes all the cookies on this list.... tho I got some of them wrong. Ah well. All I care about if they taste good :)

I'd never heard of Snickerdoodles before, but they looked so amazing in the picture I just literally stopped reading, found a recipe and baked a batch..! I'm waiting for them to cool down to try them, but the entire building smells of lovely cinnamon!
