Although there's been speculation about the winner of Top Chef Masters, the second episode was full of its own excitement. Competitors from Top Chef season 2 were judges for a vending machine quickfire and the contestants, who included Elizabeth Falkner and Wylie Dufresne, had to create a tropical island themed meal fit for the creators of Lost. I also miss Padma and company. Who is this new host chicky? I loved Wylie's potty mouth last night, and loved getting to see the "Lost" writers.

It's somewhat disturbing to watch a show about making great dishes hosted by an anorexic. At least Padma had a healthy figure and, apparently, an appetite.

1. Do you think the term "molecular gastronomy" sounds sexy? Sexy? Uh no... but I think it's a cool term. 2. How fabulous is Elizabeth Falkner? She's my hometown girl and I can't help but love her! I think she's great! I also wasn't aware that she does savory, I assumed she was only pastry, probably because it's what she's known most for. 3. Wasn't it refreshing to see the season 2 competitors as judges? Not really, all three annoy the heck outta me! 4. Kelly Choi: has she grown on you or does she seem like Padma's cheap imitation? And why does she not eat anything? I don't like her, yes she's too skinny. 5. Whose food looked the best to you? Graham Elliot's looked really good to me, the prettiest any way. 6. How do you feel about the judges? I still miss Tom, Padma, and Gail. I don't like the "judges"... I don't think it should just be food critics, they need a "high end" Chef on the panel as well. 7. Were the masters meaner when they judged previous seasons of Top Chef? No, I don't think so, probably because I respect their opinions... unlike past guest judges such as Rocco DiSpirito... whom I loathe. 8. I don't know how I feel about the star system. Do you think it's fair? It seems like whoever wins the quickfire is a shoo-in to win the whole thing. I think the star system is a little juvenile and corny. I would expect a better rating system given that it's Top Chef Masters. I think the rating system should be something like on Iron Chef. 9. Overall, what did you think of the second episode? It was okay, pretty boring, but some great food was made. So far I've been craving regular Top Chef and this is just something to hold me over... pun totally intended! : )

She's great, I want to run to Citizen Cake right now. I love how she baked cookies on the fly during deliberation 3. Wasn't it refreshing to see the season 2 competitors as judges? Betty is useless. I liked seeing Flounder for some reason 4. Kelly Choi: has she grown on you or does she seem like Padma's cheap imitation? And why does she not eat anything? Her hair is too big for her shoulders. Nothing against her, got nothing for her either 5. Whose food looked the best to you? Wylie for the meal...for the amuse, can't say. All were way to big to be a restaurant amuse bouche. 6. How do you feel about the judges? I still miss Tom, Padma, and Gail. Gael Greene is beyond awesome. I have nothing but love and respect for her 7. Were the masters meaner when they judged previous seasons of Top Chef? I only remember Wylie and Elizabeth and neither seemed mean, not compared to the asian guy with the mohawk. A lot like the first: interesting, not as dramatic, but much more respectful than Top Chef

Kelly Choi could use a good 10-20 pounds on her, she should be eating everything in site! Too skinny... I don't like the stars system, I really don't like this format at all in general though.

1. not especially - i don't know - it's too scientific for me 2. i love how they are including chefs like her....like tim love from the first one. it's kind of nice to see that they have home grown chefs in the mix 3. kind of...it's always nice to see who they try to bring back from time to time 4. i still don't like her and i feel like she's still trying too hard to pronounce things... 5. i'm not sure. i'm a veggie so i'm not a fan of boar 6. i miss the original judges - it doesn't feel the same to me AT ALL 7. nah - i don't think so. 8. i don't like the way that they are doing the ratings. i agree that the quick fire winner has a big advantage - and i don't think that i need to have it that cut and dry about who should win and why 9. i actually tuned most of it out. i was multi-tasking and i didn't feel like i missed out on anything by doing it that way.

1) haha it does kinda sound like a stomach ailment 2) i liked her, but i really liked the comradarie (sp?) between wylie and... o crap i forget his name but the other guy! 3) i think it was good since they were familiar with the challenge. and since they didn't know which cook did which they weren't able to penalize wylie and elizabeth for being mean to them! 4)i'm indifferent! 5)i agree- based on looks the trio was well presented, but i would be curious to try WD's egg and chicken 6)i miss tom. why does he say one thing about one chef in the beginnning of each and then nothing else! 7)i don't know if they were meaner, but i think they were more critical. and not just in a bad way though 8)not necessarily- i mean the one guy was only behind by half a star i think in the quickfire, so that is an easy enough deficit to make up in the elimination challenge if he had blown them away. just turns out that both quickfire winners so far have aced the elimination challenge as well! 9) i thought it was good. i liked the interaction between the contestants this week

She's great, i really liked all the chefs on this week's episode. -Wasn't it refreshing to see the season 2 competitors as judges? yes - they get their turn to be brutally honest -Kelly Choi: has she grown on you or does she seem like Padma's cheap imitation? And why does she not eat anything? I don't have a problem with her, nor do i really miss padma (tom is another story) but she is WAY too skinny! eating is not bad kelly. -Whose food looked the best to you? based on looks i liked the trio plate, but based on the reactions to the chicken, i wanted that sooooo bad. -How do you feel about the judges? I still miss Tom, Padma, and Gail. I like them, miss tom though. -Were the masters meaner when they judged previous seasons of Top Chef? Nah! -I don't know how I feel about the star system. Not necessarily, i just cant see a judge giving someone a 1 star rating...the ratings will probably always be between 3 and 5 which does leave the totals very close. -Overall, what did you think of the second episode? LOVED it! i was so happy to see the lost guys on a wednesday night. i miss lost.
