I went with street food. I'm also a hot dog fan, but I typically only eat them at sporting events.

I just love BBQ year round! Ribs, salmon, steaks, veggies, etc. Don't know if that's considered a "trend" - If not, it should be. - I'm also addicted to 7/11's BBQ chicken wings... YUMMY!! Can't beat the price of 6 for $3.49; not to mention their pizza slices & other "hot" choices (can't remember them all to list here) served fresh daily.

I couldn't decide between hot dogs and street food, so I picked street food! But hot dogs are included in street food too so it's the best of both worlds, haha.

Street food please! Especially living in LA I try to resist but damn, those bacon-wrapped hot dogs with sautéed onions and green bell peppers are to die for.

Recession vegetarianism. I've found so many cool recipes lately that are cheap and meatless that still satisfy. It reminds me of how my grandma used to have to cook back when she lived on a farm during WWII.

Mmm, I wish I lived some place where food trends showed up in restaurants. I did manage to eat a couple of wedge salads this year, and that was about as trendy as it got.
