I saw these cute Tree and Star Mugs ($40 each) on Tastespotting and love the way their shape shows up only once you've added liquid in to it. What do you guys think? Would you celebrate the holidays with them?

I agree with Vinnie, looking at it logically, when you tip the cup to sip, the liquid will pour out the various "points" of the shape. They're cute to look at, but unpractical. And worth a good $2. $5 tops.

Pricey ($40 each!!) considering you can only really use them for about a month each year!

I bet that when you take a sip, the liquid comes out of the points of the shape... i can just imagine going in for a sip and spilling coffee all over myself. hehe

Agreed that they are cute - but I'd have to test run them to see how easy they are to drink from because the rims look wide at points...
