Pretty much every savory herb saw some cocktail representation this weekend, but the most popular were rosemary and basil. We found savory herbs work well in cocktails with clear spirits, like vodka, silver tequila, and gin. The makers of Veev, a clear spirit made from açaí berries, set up a make-your-own cocktail bar, offering a variety of different garden herbs like rosemary and Thai basil to muddle in the mason jar. Basil garnished a cocktail with Pure Leaf black iced tea, gin, and blueberries. As for adult desserts, we couldn't help but snag more than a few Patrón tequila popsicles, flavored with strawberry and rosemary.
