Let's Dish: What's Your Favorite Use of Fresh Cranberries?

It drives me nuts that fresh cranberries are only available in large bags. I often find myself up to the challenge of using any remaining fresh berries in a different application. I love them as a cocktail garnish, but Katie prefers to infuse them directly into vodka, and Lauren makes a tart mostarda. I've also heard that astringent berries do well when sugared or covered in chocolate. What do you do with fresh cranberries?

my friend made an amazing apple cranberry bread pudding. i'm also a fan of putting them in muffins and compote!

Freezing them is such a great idea. I love the concept of stirring them into yogurt!

Hey SC - I buy lots of them and keep them in the freezer, just take out what you need. I do make a lot of breads, chop them up and put in pancakes/waffles, delish in choc chip cookies, I've put them in vanilla (homemade) ice cream. They are also great on yogurt when made into a sauce. I made Rum Spiked Sauce for Thanksgiving which had lime in it, pretty tasty. Try the sauce mixed with some cream cheese and a bit of pepper on crostini; I got the idea from the strawberry arugula recipe on Yum this summer.

This recipe is a winner at the holidays. It's delicious! Cranberry Fluff 1 bag fresh cranberries, ground 1 cup sugar 2 cups miniature marshmallows Mix first three ingredients together and let stand overnight in fridge 2 cups seedless grapes (I've done this with other fruit, too) 2 cups walnuts, pecans, or almonds 1 or two cups whipped cream Add and stir in the next morning
