Anything I feel like, though I do keep in mind if I will be having dinner or a supper with someone else later, to keep appetite... I don't enjoy junkfood or prepackaged crap, so I usually make something savoury or sweet and remotely easy, although it can be fun to experiment when alone, with a new interesting recipe with my own twist, but not when too hungry ;)

when my hubby is gone i will make foods he cant stand but i love like *liver and onions *brussel sprouts Or I will order sushi, which is too expensive when its the two of us. sometimes i will make a big pot of some experimental glop, and live on it all week.

I like to eat what my kids and BF won't eat. If I eat something only I like it means making two meals. That or something really gross that I usually try not to include in my diet at all.

I love to cook when I am alone. But honestly I eat alone most of the time, so if I didn't take the time to cook well for myself then I wouldn't eat well. There is a great book about eating alone. Alone in the Kitchen With an Eggplant by Jenni Ferrari-Adler. It is a fun look at eating and cooking alone.

It depends on my mood. Some times I will go all out and cook all the things I don't normally get to make and really go to town. Or else I'm so happy to not have to worry about cooking that I will have a bowl of cereal or a peanut butter sandwich.

Sometimes I'll fix something hubby doesn't care for (like pork roast with potatoes and saurkraut) or sometimes I'll go really light and easy. It depends on my mood. I actually cook more for myself now than I used to - used to be just sandwiches or something cold ... now I decided I'm worth it! ;)

Pizza with garlic cloves! Sometimes I make it, sometimes I buy it at Trader Joe's and sometimes I get it as take out from a nearby local pizza joint.

One of the best "alone" meals I have ever had was a plate of steamed broccolini, fresh bread, and a glass of chardonnay.

My husband hates breakfast food for dinner--I love it! Egg sandwich for something quick or an omellete.

I have a husband (who travels alot) and kids and so at home I am usually am eating w/ someone and at work I always seem to be eating on the run / at my desk / in a meeting , etc .. so I love when I'm able to eat alone and eat whatever I want!!! I love just picking up something premade and yummy that my regular dining companions wouldn't adore... lox and cream cheese, egg rolls, soup (from New England Soup Factory -- YUM doesn't even begin to explain how I feel about that!!)

I don't usually eat alone, but if I did it would be something I really want and it has to be really good. I'll cook Filipino food or get take out at a restaurant that I like.

This is kind of odd, but I only eat "everything" bagels when I'm by myself...all the poppyseeds get stuck in my teeth and I hate eating them in front of people! I love 'em though!
