What to Eat in Italy

Surprisingly enough, this creamy rice dish gets its luscious texture from the short-grained starchy rice it's made from (generally Arborio or Carnaroli) rather than cream. While you can certainly find the rice stateside, a small bag of rice from its source would make an excellent souvenir or a great thank-you gift for a lucky house-sitter.
