On April 14, 1912 the Titanic struck an iceberg and sunk. We're all familiar with the details of the ship's sinking thanks to James Cameron's blockbuster film, but do you know anything about the food that was served on the grand ocean liner? girlfriday, you got me curious about the 11 courses...this is what I found for what they did that night.1. appetizer (oysters)2. soup (cream of barley soup)3. fish (salmon)4. intermezzo (berry sorbet)5. meat (file mignon, chicken, lamb, with potatoes)6. game (duck)7. fowl (squab)8. vegetables (carrots and potatoes)9. salad (asparagus and foie gras)10. dessert (waldorf puddin)11. fruit and cheese.crazy amount of food!

hmmm half. not terrible! i knew i got the last question wrong! yuck. and Yum, it did kinda sound like that chicken dish was too modern sounding... :P good quiz!!

The only thing I got right was the question about the fruit in the fruit baskets. And I only know that because grapes were the most expensive fruit in England during the Victorian era, so any ship sailing from England that wanted to impress its wealthier set would have to give them the most expensive fruit -- grapes!
