gas!!!! here in honduras, most people use electric.. and the gas stoves are awful looking and tiny just two burners.. but we manage to buy a gas stove (super pricey) but beautiful online!! :) LOVE IT!
Electric and I hate it! I grew up with gas stoves and it really is so much better. I keep burning things on the electric. And for some reason, my stove has three small burners and only one bigger burner. Such a pain when I'm trying to cook an actual meal
So used to gas when we're renting then we bought our house and got electric one from previous owner.
It's a pretty new induction cook top so we decided to keep it around. Haven't burned anything but I really miss my gas stove :(
Wow you guys are braver than me, I use electric flat top, I'm too scared to use gas maybe it's because I've been cooking since I was 11 on an electric and I'm not familiar with the gas stoves and maybe it's because I've watched too many horror films with them blowing up! LOL!
I've always had gas and can't even imagine cooking on electric...it seems fake to me...we're planning a move in a few months and I'm really, really hoping for a gas stove, even thought it will just a rental for now. Has anyone converted from electric to gas? How pricey is something like that?
I don't know if it is all of Canada or just my city, but I don't know a single person who has a gas stove. You barely ever see them in the stores. I never cooked on one, or even saw one in a house until I was staying with a friend in Vegas. I must say though, after using a gas stove I would much rather have one! You just can't control the heat properly with an electric!
Electric, it came with the house, it is very old and cool looking but I hate it. Our last house had gas, it was wonderful. When we redo our kitchen one of these days will probably go with the induction.
I wish I had a gas stove. I had one growing up and my mother taught me how to cook on it. I hate electric coils and even the flat surface ones aren't that great.
side note: at my parent's house they have a wolf range with the griddle in between the sets of burners...amazing. I think that is probably why I hate my crappy electric coils - such a drastic transition.
