I have a serious weakness for sweet-salty foods. One of my favorite ice cream treats as a kid involved saltine crackers, and the salted caramel ice cream at local sweet shop Bi-Rite Creamery is to die for. The sweet-savory deliciousness extends far beyond desserts to everything from fig pizza to watermelon and feta salad. What's your favorite dish that combines savory and sweet tastes?

Trail mix with rasins,peanuts,cashews and M&Ms and a Mcdonalds mcflurry with french fries :P

Plain old Cadbury chocolate and plain salted crinkled potato crisps. Low class, but damn tasty.

Chocolate covered potato chips, salted hard pretzels dipped in honey butter, saltines and Nutella, french fries in chocolate milk shakes or honey, mashed potatoes and plum sauce

Philadelphia soft pretzels dipped in cherry or chocolate water ice, dark chocolate covered pretzels and potato chips dipped in ice cream.

This is going to sound weird, but a peanut butter and scrambled egg sandwich. It's awesome, and you can't mock it till you try it. Toasted bread, peanut butter melts on it, filled with scrambled eggs. Mmm.. now I'm hungry. Another one was bacon and peanut butter sandwiches, but I'm a veggie now, so no bacon. I've done it with fake bacon, it's similar. YUM.

I like sweet (a LOT), and I like salty, but they just shouldn't be combined. I guess I'm in the minority, lol

hehe mamasita.... i lived off pretzel rods & chocolate frosting my freshman year too! (although i dipped them in peanut butter as well... so good!

Oh man, I am missing this gene. I cant eat this combo together. I've tried!! It has to stay separate for me or my stomach starts to revolt. I'll have my cherry tarts and beef jerky on different days thank you.

Haagen Daaz (sp?) strawberry ice cream and Better Made plain potato chips. It happened by accident at my cousin's birthday. You know when you get a plate pf birthday cake and everything runs together? The chips were covered in ice cream and it was great. It's heaven.

Salted caramels. Otherwise, I can't think of anything, actually. I like my sweets and salts kept separate for the most part.

I don't eat it often, but I LOVE to dip pretzels in chocolate ice cream and eat them like that. Kind of like Chubby Hubby, but the pretzels are crispier.

I love Junior Mints with popcorn at the movies! Pop in a few Junior Mints, then a handful of popcorn. Delightful!

Pig candy! (Bacon covered in brown sugar and baked until crispy.) A close second is a great aged white cheddar cheese on crackers topped with fig spread. Highly droolworthy.
