When You Burn Toast, Do You Scrape and Eat It or Trash It?

Over the weekend, I burned toast twice: once when making breadcrumbs and another time when grilling crostini.

However, I don't mind a little char, and instead of tossing the burnt bread into the compost bin, I scraped it off and ate it.

What do you do with burnt toast?

Depends on how burnt, but usually scrape and eat.

For the most part, scrape it, but it depends on how burnt the bread is.

I trash it. I hate the flavor of burnt anything. I prefer my toast lightly toasted.

If it's totally black I will trash it for sure. If there's only a hint of black I will scrape and eat it. I like my toasts barely toasted so I always make sure the toaster is set up adequately.

This seems such a loaded question for me... I guess I will certainly say I won't trash it, unless if it's 100% burnt. Otherwise I don't mind some of the burned part (maybe even enjoy it). Perhaps it depends on the type of bread used. See? Such a hard question.

Depends on how black it is, and what the point of the toast is (like just a little piece for breaky or a crostini which I intend to top with something delicious for an appetizer) and whether or not it's just for me or for others, and how much more bread I had left! I don't mind well toasted but black bread isn't very appetizing.

I like my toast fairly burnt, almost like the pic above just slightly less "well done" :P The char on the right side of the bread is my kinda char...the char on the left...well, yeah, I'd toss that!
