Witch Shoe Cake Plate: Love It or Hate It?

I have a thing for cake stands, and if I had the space I would have a collection worthy of a crazy old lady. However, I think I would have to draw the line at this Witch Shoe Cake Plate ($85). While it does have a certain charm, it's a bit much for my personal taste. If there were only two feet, and no fuzzy spiders, then I might reconsider. As is, I'll have to say thanks, but no thanks. How about you, what do you think of it?

I have several Dept. 56 cake plates, this one included and I love each of them.

I totally love this! If you use it as the ONLY cookie/corky accessory (you can always remove the "spiders", if it's too much for you) and don't overwhelm, it's fabulous! "Life is short. You can always be dead serious 5ft under".(Uli Fesseler von Stargard) Where can you buy/order this thing?

Ahh! What happened to no feet on the table? I think it's alright (cute for Halloween, sure..) but not my style.

That thing is hideous!! But this cracks me up because...this one time my mom ordered a set of mixing bowls through a catalog and had them shipped right to me. When I opened the box, instead of seeing the mixing bowls I expected, I saw a cake stand almost exactly like this one. It was hilarious!!!

It depends on if the cake matches; that could look horrible with a cake that clashed.

Love it but along with everyone else I hate the price! It's perfect for Halloween...the one time of year you can be tacky and get away with it!

Of course you would only use it during Halloween and the month of October! For Halloween it looks really cool. I'd definitely use it. But for the rest of the year it goes into the cupboard!
