Would You Eat This Animal Part?

There are loads of gimmicky restaurants out there, and the one that's getting all the attention right now is the penis restaurant in China. That's right, quit your giggling, I did indeed say penis. According to the folks at the Times — who tried several different kinds — it was actually pretty tasty. In fact, they describe the bull's privates as "sweet and crispy, with a deep taste of soy and honey."

Why would anyone eat penis? Aside from the surprisingly pleasant taste, the more than 30 types of animal-penis dishes — that's yak shown above — are said to strengthen a man's sexual ability.

So tell me, would you ever eat penis?

Why not? it is just another piece of meat. BTW, I'm kinna surprised by the gals reaction to that, since, u know, girls that like penis should not find this idea that disgusting. On the other hand, a man may hesitate more, perhaps by fear of passing for a ... gay? Since I'm hetero and do not have any doubt about it, I wouldn't care. But I would definitely enjoy seeing my gal eat one in front of me. That would be soooo erotic !

What a bunch of wussies. Meats meat. Somes better than others. Not only have I eaten penis, I've eaten testicles AND vagina & uterus. I found none of them objectionable. Note I did not say they were delishious, and they wern't nasty...it's was ok...tasty. 100% red blooded American.

That is NOT a Yak penis to start with, Its a STALLION'S penis. Probably from a mini pony. I prefer to eat them still ATTACHED to their owner and their owner still ALIVE! This is disgusting .

Not only is that disgusting, but an endangered animal was more than likely poached to supply it. The restaurant should be shut down.

I don't see what the big deal is. I'm a vegetarian, so I wouldn't eat it, but why would people freak out over it? Anyways, long story short, if I'm going to have a penis in my mouth, it's going to be attached to a guy, not served on a bed of lettuce.

That's incredibly ookie and I would never eat it. That said, it's a good thing -somebody- is... best to put the whole animal to use I guess!

I'm with Esspresso Junkie on this one. People eat pigs feet and other innards and some cultures don't waste a single piece of the animal. My MIL who is from a tiny ranch in the middle of nowhere mexico, her and her family member will suck on the bones and eat the marrow. So I don't see the reason for the big freak out. A little narrow minded if you ask me.

I saw Andrew Zimmern visit the penis restaurant on an episode of Bizarre Foods. I'd try it, but I'm glad we skipped this place when I toured China :)

hey why not. it's just another piece of meat, right? and so many of us have these in our mouths often enough anyway ... who hasn't always wanted to just chomp down and see what happens? besides, i'd love to tell people that i had eaten penis. just for the reaction.
