Would You Eat This Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dog?

Whenever I find myself drunk and hungry in San Francisco's Mission District, I hurry over to the stand selling hot dogs wrapped in bacon. According to my sister, this delicious hot dog — topped with caramelized onions, mustard, and ketchup with a grilled jalapeño on the side — is a specialty of Mexico. Wherever it's from, it's pure porky heaven. What do you think? Would you eat this bacon-wrapped hot dog?

You had me until you said there's KETCHUP on that dog. In the immortal words of Dirty Harry, "NO ONE puts KETCHUP on a hot dog!!!" BLEH. Leave off the ketchup and I'm in!

Here in Mexico we eat them all the time when we go to clubs, they are great when you are craving food at like 3 am but are too lazy to actually leave the club and go far away! Plus, they taste delicious! (yes, even sober they are great!)

IF YOU SLICE TT DOWN THE CENTER THEN STUFF WITH CHESSE THEN WRAP IT WITH BACON THEN BAKE OR BROIL YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

at night or early day you can spot a hot dog car almost everywhere in my town, in mexico they taste sooo good... and in a tuesday at 1am.. they taste better, it is almost a breakfast....

I was never a huge fan of hot dogs, until I moved to Mexico! They are everywhere...bacon wrapped dogs right in the deli aisle at the grocery store. My fave are hot dog tortas....refried beans, mayo, fresh cheese and chilies on sliced fried hot dog in a fresh bakery bun...mmm! The best ones are found in Polanco (D.F.) at a little corner shop (can't think of the name but close to the Canadian embassy!) One for lunch would be fab!

Yes, it is damn delicious! There's a place here in NYC (yep, Crif's) that has hot dogs wrapped in bacon, then topped with an egg and cheeeeese! It's the best hangover breakfast you could ever hope for.

The bacon wrapped fried hot dogs at Crif Dogs in the East Village in NYC are the best hot dogs in the world.

That looks so good! There is a hot dog place near me that is open in the summer and they sell hot dogs with bacon but i have never tried it. This summer i will definately try it. :drool:

before i finished reading i was gonna say that these are SUPER famous in mexico. (great after a long night of partying jaja) another thing they add extra (its deliciousss) Melted cheese.. kinda like velveeta and then (yummy) smashed ruffles on it. its perfect. yummy. im hungry

I don't eat bacon ... or hotdogs, really ... but after watching my little brother devour them everyday for two weeks in Mexico (and he's boney!), I was almost ready to try one myself.
