Allow me to introduce you to the latest item in fast food technology: the pancake bite from Dunkin' Donuts. This bite-sized savory-and-sweet treat consists of a breakfast sausage wrapped in a maple-flavored pancake. It's sort of like a miniature breakfast-flavored corn dog. A set of three of these snackable pancake bites will set you back just $2. The "meat munchkins" are being sold for a limited time in Dunkin' Donuts across the country. Will you try them?

I LOVE DD....wish there was one closer. But no way. I can't eat junk like that for breakfast.

Pancakes wrapped around sausage and placed on a stick, or other, is nothing new. I think Jimmy Dean has something like this too. And you can get a whole box for a just a few bucks.

I tried them, thought they were okay but a nutritional bomb that wasn't very filling. But I was curious how big a deal these were to make. I just mixed pancake mix (the complete variety) with less water than called for, squirted in a good bit of syrup and mixed. I cooked brown and serve sausage links and cut them in have. Placed a toothpick in each half and dipped in the pancake mix and then carefully place in a small pot of oil until set and then let it cook until browned. Exactly the same, maybe better, in a matter of minutes with little effort and less money.

i generally love breakfast-y pigs in a blanket, but these just looks like bad times...and $2 seems kind of steep for three i used to be a proud member of the dd cult, but now that i've since moved to an area with an abundance of delicious local coffee shops, i avoid it when i can

Yes! We don't have DD in the Bay Area, but on my next trip to Texas, I'll be swinging by to get some.

3 of those probably cost pennies to produce, yet they charge you $2? Yeah right. Plus they don't even sound appetizing to me, I'd rather eat pancakes and sausage. I'll pass.
