Would You Eat This Poutine Pizza?

Poutine is all the rage these days, and so is pizza. Put them together, and what do you end up with? Why, poutine pizza, of course. In what may be the pinnacle of drunk munchies food, Brado Pizza in Vancouver, British Columbia, is serving a thin crust, topped with french fries, melted cheese curds, and a thick, beef-tinged brown sauce. While I've never tried poutine before, the calorically massive combo of curds, fries, and gravy doesn't intimidate me — and I love a good pie. I say bring it on! What say you?

It reminds me of that pasta in a bread bowl thing. Why add unnecessary bread to things that are already good?

I've never had poutine but would love to try it. However, I'm kind of a pizza purist - french fries have NO place on a pizza! I'm sure they're great separate, and that's how they should stay!

this kind of grosses me out. When my husband and I were in Montreal last summer, we tried the Montreal bagels and sandwiches from schwartz's, but could not bring ourselves to try poutine. Ugh. (I do see though, how it would be appealing to people after a long night of drinking, but even then, mixed with pizza?!)

I hate that this is what Quebec is famous for when it has so much more to offer! Poutine is super-yummy but so bad for you. I agree that it's the best at 4am when you have major munchies and I'd try the pizza but I could never eat either on a regular basis.

I think it'd be worth a try... I thought mac n cheese pizza looked gross til I tried it too. However, I think the "pinnacle of drunk munchies" title still belongs to Pirate Chips in Nanaimo, nothing beats fries with nacho toppings followed by a deep-fried Bounty bar at 3 am lol

I dunno - I'd probably try it. Something about gravy on a pizza just doesn't sound right though.

i LOVE both but i don't think they should be paired i would eat a bite of each seperately but not together

Oh yes!!! I miss poutine so, so much. Poutine and pizza are really often paired together in Québec so I don't see why putting the poutine on top of the pizza wouldn't be yummy.

I live in Vancouver, and my only worry is that the gravy is often too salty in fast food poutine- I may have to check this out though, simply out of confusing hunger pangs.
