Would You Eat This Thanksgiving Sushi?

Los Angeles website Angelenic reports that the Asian-Latin fusion spot Takami is serving up a seasonal turkey roll. The platter includes a roasted turkey roll wrapped in soy paper, rice seasoned with dill and chives, avocado, and asparagus. Served alongside are mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetables, cranberry sauce, and a shot of pumpkin soup. Could you roll with this Thanksgiving special?

I love sushi, so I would give it a try. But, I'm not sure I would love it.

I love sushi but I prefer it to be proper sushi... But I do think it can be a comforting food! A wet rainy Edinburgh day is properly warmed up by some hot Sake at Izzi's, steam rising....mmm....then bring on the miso and the sashimi! Yeah Damn I want some now. :P

That sounds nasty to me. I hate it when sushi rolls come with, like, cooked meat inside. And I can't quite wrap my head around the combo of sushi rice and roast turkey.

I like CatGirl's idea much better since the rice doesn't seem to sound good with potatoes, though I like each separately. I'd give this a go. To me, it's not really sushi since there is no seafood!

Wouldn't like this. Thanksgiving to me is all about comfort food. Sushi ruins that.

That looks so good, I might make my own with leftovers. But i would change it. Make the roll with Rice, turkey, some spicy sauce, asparagus. I wonder if you can take stuffing and roll it? like rice?

I'm a sushi fanatic, but really prefer fish when eating it... I think it might throw me off a little but I'd definitely try it (minus the sides - that's just going overboard).
