Would You Rather Eat Cake or Pie?

Many people are proclaiming pie to be the next big thing, and according to Google trends, pie is beating out both cupcakes and bacon as the trendiest food topic. While I love pie, when it comes to a showstopping celebratory dessert, I prefer cake. That's why I'm serving cake at my Christmas dinner. How about you? Which do you enjoy more?

yummmmmmmmm. I picked pie, because although cake can be really good, it can also be really bad. I find that pie is more consistent.... not to mention delicious!

i hate pie crust/pastry, so cakes. however, i'm happy to scoop out the pie filling and eat it as is. i also dislike frosting and icing.
I'd like an either option. Just because I'm 'picky' : P

Since I had to pick "cake", but my fave is cheesecake - kinda both. :drool: Pie is not a runnerup, but an equal in my belly.

I'm all about the pie. Cake is usually way too sweet for me, guess it's the frosting. Pie is my hands-down favorite dessert.

Pies don't have frosting, hence cake is supreme.

Tough one. Both are amazing. Although I haven't tried any gluten-free ones since I've gone that route. So I'm not sure now!
