Would You Rather Eat Cole Slaw or Potato Salad?

As we get ready to feed on all sorts of Fourth of July goodness, I want to know which of these picnic sides you would pick.

One of four sides for me.. Either Grannys homemade Loaded Baked Potatoe Salad, Homemade Rockin Ranch Red Potatoe Salad, her Homemade Baked Beans or her Homemade Pasta Salad made with cheese tortellini for the pasta. I loved her coleslaw too as it was creamy and sweet but cabbage raw gives me the worst gas, lol. Honest but true and that is not what you want in the middle of a summer picnic with guests! :)

I like cole slaw but also love potatoes in all conditions, shapes and sizes lol

Neither. I don't eat mayo-based salads. I'd rather have a colorful salad of baby greens and roasted bell peppers. Dressing on the side.

I make a really good potato salad that's just red potatoes, vinegar, and such. Not the mustard/mayo concoctions. i hate those! Assuming those are what this poll references, I'm going with cole slaw, only as long as it's not too oniony. The kind from KFC is perfect! lol Do I sound picky or what?

totally potato salad! i love it... i'd actually eat it with any main dish. total meat and potatoes girl here.

It depends. Probably potato salad (mayo) with 4th of july, but also with ham. cole slaw with bbq and chicken...

Potato all the way-o! You would never believe it, but my favorite potato salad comes from Paula Deen- and it contains NO Mayo at all! It's amazing, and I can use Enova oil instead of olive oil or something else (which makes me feel just a lettle bit better) and incorporates tarragon vinegar to give it the majority of its flavor. Go figure from someone who's favorite line is, "It's just butter, y'all!"

I love both however I voted Coleslaw since the only potato salad I LOVE is my great-aunt's potato and egg salad recipe; and of course that wouldn't be available at someone else's picnic unless I brought it. Also, the coleslaw can't have too much mayo or vinegar, it has to be the right combo of the two otherwise it goes wrong. (My father makes a wonderful coleslaw every summer.)

I picked coleslaw but love them both AND must agree with most of you - I'm not a mayo fan, love the vinegar. So I guess it depends on who/where made it. Next time make a column for I LOVE THEM BOTH, please.

My Mom makes the best potato salad! If I couldn't have hers then I would have a regular green salad. I don't care for coleslaw or other types of potato salad.

As long as the potato salad has no mayonaise or grease and is a vinager/onion base I'll eat it I do not touch anything with eggs, mayonaise ever

I like this pasta salad that my MIL makes, it's just tube pasta with mashed up hard boiled egg, a bit of mayo and some S&P~ sounds wierd, but I like it.
