both! this is too hard to answer
the folks who are saying coq au vin is light? not so sure about that one. So these are my two new favorite things to make this winter. Last time I mad Osso Bucco (bought a week ago), I had to stay home for a couple hours in the morning and I did all the prep work and stuck it in the oven. Heidi took it out 2 hours later, chilled it in an ice bath then put it in the fridge. We had for din two days later and ended up licking the bowl. I made my first coq au vin maybe six weeks ago and it was the best thing i've ever made...now i'm hungry.
coq au vin is light, juicy and flavorful.
I won't eat osso buco because I refuse to eat veal. I've never had coq au vin but it looks delicious!
I love both, but I think i'm leaning more toward Coq au Vin.
I love Italian food, but there's something about Coq au Vin that's just so good! Much better than Osso Bucco.. though really both are amazing!
I made Coq Au Vin for dinner last night (Nigella Lawson's recipe), but I love both dishes.
aimee - coq au vin is traditionally rooster, but it's most often made these days with ordinary chicken. Martha Stewart makes an amazing one with just chicken breasts that's also really easy. So don't let the rooster freak you out!
Coq Au Vin is rooster, that sort of freaks me out. I know it's just another form of a chicken but still...
being a vegetarian - i would rather eat something w/o meat :) um..i dont' know what my favorite dish is - but there are a lot of them out there...
I don't like veal at all, so I'd go with Coq au Vin, although it's not that easy to find a really good Coq au Vin. Guess I'll just have to make it myself!
Coq au Vin, but I'd like both please! :)
I don't like either one too much...I'd prefer a delicious spaghetti with clam sauce. Or a delicious steak au poivre. Mmm :)
I'll take both.
French in general. Coq au vin is sooo delicious!
I can't choose- they're both so good!
coq au vin - it's lighter, and so so so delicious.
osso!? Is it bear!? ;)
Coq au Vin and French cuisine in general
Both look yummy but i love a great slice of Prime Rib medium rare - Gulliver's, House of Prime Rib or Lawrey's :)
mmmm so yummy.
