At one point I would have picked pesto, but during my last pregnancy I developed an aversion to basil which has stuck with me. I don't really like how most places season their tomato sauce, so if I'm out I usually get white pizza. But I make my own with tomato sauce.

I hate tomatoes and tomato paste, so pesto all the way!

Tomato Sauce all the way. When I order pizza, I request extra tomato sauce. When I make them homemade, I prefer to use tomato paste, and depending on the toppings, I'll add BBQ sauce to the paste for a BBQ Chicken Pizza. Tomatoes are so healthy for you, especially if thy've been simmered and stewed for long periods of time.

love all pizza..love most sauces too...just not pesto so much...so tomato got my vote

Pesto, please! I really hate tomato sauce. I spent most of my life thinking I hated pizza until I eventually had some that was non-tomato-saucy and realized I just hated the sauce and not actually pizza.

Tomato sauce. I LOVE tomato sauce. It's one of my most favorite foods in the universe. I like light on the cheese, EXTRA SAUCE for my pizzas.

I love pizza of all kinds! Also good as a sauce is hot sauce (buffalo chicken pizza) and bbq.

I love pizza even with alfredo and chicken.

Tomato sauce! I am not a pesto fan and would not want it on my pizza.

oh i can't decide on that one. there's this pizza place by my apt in NYC that makes it both ways and sometimes you just need to switch it up!

Both! In Ottawa the Heart and Crown pub serves a pizza topped with pesto, pears and brie cheese. Sooo yummy.

Oh please. Pizza with pesto is not real pizza, i don't care how many fancy restaurants serve it, it will never be true.

We made them for New Years, and mixed tomato and pesto sauce together....whole new taste sensation. Loved it!
