Would You Use Batter Blaster?

I just recently came across a "fantastic" new product called Batter Blaster. Instead of whipping up your own pancake batter, or even using the just add water kind, you just shake, point, blast and cook. I don't know about you guys, but I think this is a bit ridiculous. It's like squeeze cheese, but with pancakes. What do you think, would you use it?

I read the ingredients list, and the worst thing on there for you is sugar. The only reason not to eat this is if you're dieting, honestly. The preservative they use is sodium lactate, which is a salt formed from the neutralization of a lactose acid (basically from fermented milk) and it's a completely harmless preservative (unlike sodium nitrites in deli meat). I was really surprised when I read the ingredients (because I was expecting..like some of you mentioned...cheeze whiz or similar) but they've taken the can idea (which isn't inherently evil) and made it work with something that isn't bad for you (in the sense that pancakes and waffles aren't bad for a healthy individual looking for a tasty breakfast).

Save your money. This stuff has no taste and you get half as many pancakes than mix. A dumb idea foisted on consumers that was clearly not taste tested.

I agree with silver4. I live alone, so there's no point in me making an entire batch of pancakes (or most other things) for myself. I'd 2 and end up throwing the rest of the batter away. I'd definitely try this, especially since it's organic. Why not? Obviously made from scratch will taste better, but it's not always feasible.

I prefer pancakes made from scratch than from a mix or this can.

It's probably good for bachelors! I wouldn't use this because pancake batter is so easy to make! Also, some people prefer a thicker or lighter pancake so you can't adjust the consistency.

My aunt's good friend is the inventor of this item...We recently took our boat out to Catelina for 5 days and this stuff was a HIT! We used it as a test run before it went on the market. Totally easy clean up, pancakes were PERFECT, absolutely amazing. AND, it's organic! If you are thinking spray cheese, definitely not the same thing. This stuff is on a whole nother level. Add some chocolate chips on top or some banannas, and you've got an even more delicious meal. If you havn't tried this yet, give it a whirl. While not as good as 100% homemade, this stuff definitely is worth a try!

There is nothing like whipping up a batch of pancakes for the fam! My mom makes amazing pancakes and making them always reminds me of her! I'm not sure I like the idea of squirting out my pancake batter like spray cheese(side note, did anyone see that they came out with spray can cream cheese??)! I'll take the tradition method over the newest oddity any day, even the mess that comes with it!

I bet this would be great for college-bound students (esp. guys who might not be comfortable in the kitchen). But it's a little too close to that aerosol cheese for my liking, ick.

As long as they didn't add anything that isn't normally in batter, I would try it.

I bet this stuff is loaded with preservatives, which, according to my dr., will cause every American to eventually get Diverticulitis. I am trying to faze preservatives completely out of my diet, but it's soooo hard, because everything that isn't "fresh" is loaded wih it.

This post has brought out the catty, judge-y side of so many people!Newsflash: the choice to consume or nto consume food that comes in a can (even *gasp* an aerosol can!)is not indicative of a person's character!Besides, this particular product is organic, with almost no ingredients a scratch version wouldn't contain. And it's recyclable!I, for one, would be very interested in trying it, as I live alone and occassionally like to eat pancakes. If I make a whole batch of batter, I will either make too many pancakes, and have to somehow store them, or I will let a batch of batter go bad in the fridge. Save the judgement, thanks.
