Yellow Mustard: Love It or Hate It?

Mustard is quite possibly my favorite condiment. I love Dijon mustard so much that sometimes, when I'm making salad dressing or a cheese sandwich, I will lick the knife. However, my affection for mustard does not extend to Dijon's vibrant, all-American cousin, yellow mustard. Whether it's the bright color or the sweet, almost artificial taste, there's something about yellow mustard that I'm not so crazy about. How do you feel about it?

Love it! It's what I grew up on and it's what i put on my burgers and dogs. :) Occasionally I have honey or dijon mustard but the classic yellow is my fave.

Mmm, I could eat yellow mustard by the spoonful! There's nothing better than a jack cheese and yellow mustard sandwich on fresh white bread. :)

Was all about yellow mustard when I was a kid, then in high school I became a fan of spicy mustard. I switch between yellow and honey mustard now.I love yellow mustard in potato salad just the way Mom makes it!

A hot dog wouldn't be a hot dog without the yellow stuff. I also prefer it in egg salad and classic potato salad, probably because that is how I remember it from my childhood.

I hate mustard with a passion. The ONLY time I can even stand the smell is when I am preggers and then I even like it a TINY bit but in general YUCKKKKKK and shudder

i greatly dislike mustard. i think its more of the way it looks than how it tastes, but i have never been able to eat it.

Yellow mustard is my favorite. I like the other varieties of mustard too, in lesser degrees. No ketchup or mayonnaise for me... blech.

I DESPISE yellow mustard. With a passion. Growing up, I was not really aware that there was a world beyond yellow. One day I accidentally tried spicy mustard, and loved it. It's been my condiment of choice ever since. Now I'm inspired to explore the many other mustard options, now that I know other people feel the same.

I like all mustard. Stone-ground is my favorite but there's something sort of retro about yellow mustard. Reminds me of my childhood.

I'm like several other people on here . . . I prefer dijon mustard on everything (and IN everything) where mustard is usually used, except on hot dogs. Only hot dogs :) I prefer dijon mustard on sausages.
