Are You Attending Multiple Thanksgiving Celebrations?

This year, my older brother and his buddies decided to plan an epic golfing weekend over the Thanksgiving holiday. He knows how important Thanksgiving is to me, so he's heading to my parents' house this weekend. My family will feast with him on Sunday and then celebrate as we normally do with my grandfather on Thursday. How about you?

Yep 3 dinners! Wednesday with my husbands family, Thursday our family, Friday my family. I will probably gain 10 pounds before the weekend!LOL!

Yes! This year we hosted Canadian Thanksgiving at our place (I'm American, married to a Canadian & living in BC), and my friend is hosting American Thanksgiving at her place in a couple weeks. When I was growing up, my mom hosted two Thanksgivings. My dad's family would come over on Thursday, and my mom's family would come over on Friday. Mom had a schedule about 12 pages long: what to do on Tuesday, what to do on Wednesday, and then Thursday and Friday to-do's were clarified into hours (and minutes). I think there must be half a dozen versions of that itinerary at their house; it seemed like every other year we'd be unable to locate it and have to make it up all over again.

We used to do two Thanksgivings...one on Thursday with our immediate family, my aunt and uncles, and my Grandma. Then we would have a second Thanksgiving dinner on Friday with my other aunt and uncle and sister and brother-in-law. This year, we're only going to Thursday dinner with my family.

Well, we're going to my aunt in law's and then coming home for our dinner. But, my mother in law wants to have something on that Friday. I don't think so.

I used to go to my bf's family for Thansgiving during the day and he would come over for Thansgiving with my family in the evening, but after too many years of his family making it very known they don't like me, I only attend my own family Thanksgiving.

No, but I wish I was! This is my first Thanksgiving being married, and I'm so excited to be celebrating it with my husband and parents :)

Yes. This is my boyfriend & my first thanksgiving together, except I have to leave for three months on November 23rd! So we're having a "Little Thanksgiving" tomorrow because he's never celebrated Thanksgiving (he's not from the States).

Wednesday is a family and friends dinner catered by a deli, Thursday is the traditional meal with my bf's extended family, and then Friday everyone gets together for sushi (yes, that bill tends to break $2000 easily). We eat a lot :-)

Thanksgiving day with my family, then Friday night going to another celebration with my boyfriend and his extended family (and will likely wear the same dress twice... its new and I want to recycle!)

Yep. Hosting one at work for all of the military still on base and then off to my parents house that evening for the second meal.
