What are Kelly Choi’s credentials in the food world? She’s host of top chef masters, but what does that exactly mean? Where did any of her food training come from that makes her a worthy host? Wikipedia says she used to be a model and hosted another food show, but again, why her? A face in front of the camera and a contract favorable to the network are probably high on the reason list. Do Not be overly impressed by any chef on TV. For every 1 you actually see on any type of show, there are at least several hundred of equal or superior skill levels you will never know about. Also, most of the tv chefs do have limited skill ranges. Any educated cook can take a bag of groceries and make a meal out of the contents. There is no such thing as a top chef. No matter how good you are, there is always someone better at something that has to do with food or running a kitchen. I have over 400 tv appearances, I am rated in the top 4% of active professional chefs in North America by my peers, and after 33 years in the kitchens & class rooms, I still have a lot to learn and skills to acquire. The only important thing you need to really know about food is how to handle it, cooking methods, nutrition, and never forgetting to enjoy the time you spend at meals with your friends and loved ones. Everything else is secondary. Not to worry, do not let anyone rain on your barbecue:) For every dope out there, there is someone who is cool and fun. It does balance out in the end.
I watched Kelly Choi several times and pardon the PUN, I could NOT STOMACH watching kelly choi. She has nothing of value to add. And she is not even cute to me. I have seen better looking asian american women (IE padma Lakshmi, julie chen, etc) I guess there’s a reason julie chen has two network jobs. SHe’s married to les moonves but Les isnt gonna mess w Kelly Choi. At least Julie chen has a nice face and meat on her body. And julie chen has a nice voice. Kelly choi sounds squeaky and bitchy
Kelly just isn’t a good host. Ignoring some of the ridiculous comments some made about her appearance, the real problem is that she’s asked to function as a “spokesmodel” and doesn’t add anything to the show. In that respect she’s the equivalent of Vanna White. At least Padma tastes and comments on the food in the “regular” Top Chef and seems engaged with what the competitors are doing. Not so with Kelly. According to her bio, in addition to being a model, she also has a degree in journalism and has been nominated for local Emmy awards. If she’s that talented, the shows producers should make use of that capability. Unfortunately, her role in the show is no more than a prop. WHEN WILL THE EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS TAKE THEIR MOUTHS OFF HER LANDING STRIP AND GET A GRIP THE SHOW WITH CHOI SUCKS.

Fooz is an idiot. He goes around posting the same thing over and over again. So one minute he went to school with her and the next he apparently knows people that work at NYCTV? Get your stories straight! Choi begged Wierson for her job...? More like Wierson begged her, or more correctly, pined after her hoping to bed her (and Amy Palmer). So what's the truth? Are you an exec she turned down because of a receding hairline?

I don't know Kelly Choi, but I do know from what you write that you are a loser who has no success, no career and no life. The problem with Internet sites like this one is they allow people like you without any testicles to run your mouth off and hide like a chicken shit wimp. This woman doesn't deserve this. Pathetic? Look in the mirror, dickhead.

Kelly Choi is a VAPID, VAIN, stupid Host. THe only way Bravo picked her up is they needed someone on the cheap. There’s no way they could have vetted Kelly Choi. Choi is untalented. Just read the comments on her. Viewers don’t tune into her

I don't know this blog writer but dude, Jake, you are right on target. Couldn't agree with you more about the choice of Kelly choi. I went to Columbia with her. Choi PINED after JOSH KELLY now at espn. He dumped her for a gorgeous blonde, and Choi screamed at Elliott in the Columbia hallways. choi was a laughing stock at school and she then got hired for ONE month at NEWS 12 BRONX by Camilo Pombo. I saw Choi's air checks then ( about 6 years ago) Man she Sucked! Choi is NO sincere soul. She is not 32 as wikipedia states and she slummed around NYC writing freelance after news 12 trying to make it some how before she begged Arick Wierson at NYC TV for a shot. PEOPLE at NYC TV (not management) do not think highly of CHOI. CHOI goes to these RED CARPET EVENTS in evening gowns TRYING BEGGING CRYING, "LOOK AT ME PLEASE I AM KELLY CHOI." She has no purpose at these events and paparazzi friends of mine remark they take her pix because she just bares leg at the male photogs. How many wanna bet CHOI will crash and burn or just end up marrying a rich old geezer like JULIE CHEN OR WENDI DENG. Pathetic.
