One of Fall's hottest trends is the pleated skirt. If you're looking for different ways to wear it, OnSugar blogger Beauty and Budget breaks it down for you with these five amazing outfit ideas.

The pleated skirt has finally graduated from a schoolyard staple to a trendsetter's must-have item of the season. Its comfort and wearability make it perfect for day and night in both hot and cold temperatures — so long as you mix it with the right pieces. Coming in virtually every color of the rainbow, you can mix and match a pleated skirt with nearly anything, which is why I chose to highlight this trend.

Grown-Up Back-to-School Blazers

OnSugar blogger fashion fortuneteller is helping us shop the best grown-up blazers for back to school: I'm so nervous about going back to school.

OnSugar blogger fashion fortuneteller is helping us shop the best grown-up blazers for back to school:

I'm so nervous about going back to school. I know I shouldn't be. I mean I'm going for my Masters, it's not like I'm new to sitting in a classroom, managing work load, and pulling all-nighters! But something, just has my stomach full of butterflies. So naturally, what do I do when I'm feeling nervous or unsure about something, need time to think things through, or am simply having a bad day... I make outfits! I dip into my closet and just start creating new looks. It's my CALM. Lately, I've been trying to think about how I could use the tons of blazers I have in creative ways. I work a corporate 9-5 that requires suits, therefore I have blazers galore. Suits are so not my thing — just seems too structured. Can you think of any creative ways to use blazers, like any of the ones I selected to feature today?

Trendspotting: The Penny Loafer Pump

Today, OnSugar blogger The Artful Shopper shares her love for one of Fall's hottest shoe trends — the loafer pump.

Today, OnSugar blogger The Artful Shopper shares her love for one of Fall's hottest shoe trends — the loafer pump. Listen up to what she has to say, then shop her favorite picks!

“In fashion, either you’re in, or you’re out.” In the 6th grade, I wanted “in” and that meant joining the so-called “Preps” so, I assembled a wardrobe of V-necks, cableknits and Palazzo pants. And one of my most coveted items of them all? Wait for it . . . penny loafers.

Who can forget the novelty of buying their first must-have pair of shoes that all the other kids are wearing? Maybe yours were some pretty heels, or a cushy pair of UGG's, or a stylin’ set of Nike Airs, but penny loafers? Sure, there was the novelty of having big sis help me make them look all shiny, and adding the little charm of a penny, but who can forget the thick, awkward block heel, the unflattering height and the typically dowdy association with straight-laced school marms and perhaps, those least interested in fashion, “Gulp,” nuns?

Dress Like You Work at a Fashion Magazine (For a Lot Less!)

OnSugar blogger Beauty and the Budget creates five chic looks based on the style of fashion writer Esther Adams: Anytime I see a fashion magazine employee's attire, I'm immediately reminded of the opening sequence in The Devil Wears Prada where you see all of the Runway magazine staffers walking out of their apartments to the beat of KT Tunstall's "Suddenly I See."

OnSugar blogger Beauty and the Budget creates five chic looks based on the style of fashion writer Esther Adams:

Anytime I see a fashion magazine employee's attire, I'm immediately reminded of the opening sequence in The Devil Wears Prada where you see all of the Runway magazine staffers walking out of their apartments to the beat of KT Tunstall's "Suddenly I See." For me, this is much more invigorating than seeing celebrity style on the red carpet. I'm more into what the ladies at fashion magazines and style websites are wearing than what Kim Kardashian's stylist told her to wear for another event.

Hot-As-Hell Style: What to Wear When Nudity Isn't an Option

With most of us enduring the dog days of Summer, OnSugar blogger Temple of Glam decided to provide some sweet relief via the coolest, yet chicest clothes she could find.

With most of us enduring the dog days of Summer, OnSugar blogger Temple of Glam decided to provide some sweet relief via the coolest, yet chicest clothes she could find. Read on to see her fabulous tips on how to stay cool without sacrificing style.

I felt a wave of sweat pour down my back; I was standing still.

I contemplated articles of clothing I could remove without getting arrested.

When the thought of donning clothes led to major heat anxiety (literally walking around my apartment disavowing every sartorial option that came to mind, "no-no-no, you will burst into flames!"), I knew it was time to take action (i.e. create a quick list of summer-proof clothes and find a good therapist):

Lemlem Adama Dress ($245)

When I longingly ogled an older woman's moo-moo, I vowed to find a chic (and age-appropriate) alternative. This handmade caftan-inspired dress is called a beach cover up, but its lightweight fabric and light color are ideal for this little heatwave we're having. Plus, it was designed by supermodel Liya Kebede.

Keep reading for the rest of Temple of Glam's picks. . .

Bright colors are such a fun way to inject a playful touch to your outfit, and OnSugar blog The Artful Shopper is giving us more reason to try it out with this super cute Alice & Olivia Summer video — check it out!

When I came across this Alice & Olivia video for their Summer 2011 collection I had to share this for my post on summer brights and the colorblocking trend we're seeing that are so hot in fashion right now! What is colorblocking? You've probably heard of the trend that started in early spring that's punctuated by pops of bold color and highlighted by the mixing and matching of separates in all-over hues, in sometimes unexpected ways. Strong prints with geometric shapes in solid hues are big for fall and an all-over wash of striking color is very of-the-moment, for accessories too.

Shorts are definitely a Summer staple, and OnSugar blogger StyleShrinks is letting us in on her top short picks for the season.

With legs to bare, this summer’s short story may have you feeling pangs of June doom. Don’t worry. In short, there is something for everyone. Hudson’s Viceroy knee shorts offer great coverage and versatility. Wear them with a tank top and flip-flops for a daily dose of cool. Or, get a leg up on PM style by dressing them up with a feminine camisole, great jewelry and your favorite summer heels. Like short shorts? Take the hazard out of Daisy Duke’s by wearing them with flat sandals and simple, casual accessories. Add color to your short list with Alice + Olivia’s Cady satin shorts in bright green. Earning Your Summer Stripes

OnSugar blogger Tiger Tem's Fashion Bites gives us a tutorial on shopping striped pieces for Summer.

OnSugar blogger Tiger Tem's Fashion Bites gives us a tutorial on shopping striped pieces for Summer.

Stripes are the epitome of pulled-together style. They're easy to dress up or down and, in that inimitable French way, they inject just the right amount of je ne sais quoi to your outfit. As much as I love my more neutral stripes (beige & black, black & white, navy & white), I've found my eye being drawn toward more colourful stripey options for Summer. Not too long ago, the Mr. gave me a cute top with wide gray and kelly green stripes. It's an unusual combo and not one I've seen before, but I absolutely love it.

Poolside Attire: Swimwear and Coverups Under $50

OnSugar blogger Beauty and the Budget shows us that looking chic poolside needn't cost a fortune.

OnSugar blogger Beauty and the Budget shows us that looking chic poolside needn't cost a fortune. Her Summer-ready swim and coverup choices are so excellent, we had to share.
As the Memorial Day festivities have drawn to a close, you're probably all hyped up about the forthcoming summer! But until you take your big summer vacay, you might be spending most of your weekends lounging poolside. When you're hanging out by the pool with your friends, you're probably going to spend more time working on your tan rather than swimming in the water. A two piece swimsuit (preferably with a strapless bandeau top) is the perfect option to getting the perfect summer tan without too many visible tan lines. Of course, you'll also need a chic coverup, like a kaftan or loose fitting chiffon coverup. So what are the most fashionable pieces for soaking up the sun for under $50? Take a look at the pieces above in B's Swimwear Guide Exclusive! Clockwise from top left: Topshop burnout caftan, $48; Target polka-dot top, $18; Tilly's bikini bottom, $35; The Sak woven bag, $19; Asos coverup, $44; Full Tilt bikini top, $28; Anthropologie bikini bottoms, $50; Wet Seal sandals, $13.

V Magazine Puts the "V" in Diversity

OnSugar blogger Fashion Monster shares her thoughts on V Magazine's latest all-Asian model issue: Sorry for the corny title but I couldn't help myself.

OnSugar blogger Fashion Monster shares her thoughts on V Magazine's latest all-Asian model issue:

Sorry for the corny title but I couldn't help myself. The latest V Magazine has been dubbed the "Asia Issue" as it features some of the fashion industry's top Asian supermodels amongst some Asian actors, filmmakers, musicians etc. Why? For one, why not? As of lately, some of the top models in the world are Asian. Just recently Givenchy and Dolce & Gabbana featured a whole lineup of their work on just Asian models. Supermodels like Liu Wen and Tao Okamato (amongst many others) have been gracing some of the most famous designer's runway shows and being cast for some major campaigns such as Estee Lauder.

Prairie Winds Blowin' In

OnSugar blogger Miss Poppins' Purse has a lovely, whimsical approach to fashion, and we heart her take on prairie chic.

OnSugar blogger Miss Poppins' Purse has a lovely, whimsical approach to fashion, and we heart her take on prairie chic. Check out her cute picks below.

Clockwise from top left: Still Life Bag, $398 at Anthropologie; Dress, $369 at Asos; Belt, $58 at Anthropologie; Clark's shoe, $182 at Asos; Blouse, $110 at Topshop; Vintage Skirt, $98 at Free People

Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House on the Prairie" book series will always have a place in my heart. My third grade teacher Mrs. Hester made my class read the entire series. At the time, I didn't really enjoy them and found their Midwest lifestyle completely distant from my own. As I got older however, I began to reread them and fell in love with the Wilder family and their do-it-yourself lifestyle: picking berries, making maple syrup, sewing clothes, and building cabins. If there was a field nearby to frolic in, this is what I would wear (with my hair in two perfect braids, of course)!

How to Wear Summer Trends

Getting Summer trends right is important; here's what OnSugar blogger Beauty and the Budget has to say on the matter.

Getting Summer trends right is important; here's what OnSugar blogger Beauty and the Budget has to say on the matter.

You already know what the latest trends are, and now you're dying to know how to wear them! Of course, everyone can put their own spin on a trend, but these ladies did it best when incorporating this summer's hottest trends into their ensembles. How can you get the look?

Tip #1: Let your printed jumpsuit stand out with minimal accessories. Some of the hottest rompers and jumpsuits this season have bright, bold prints. To really make the romper stand out, keep accessories to a minimum, like this neutral toned headband and jacket. It will make the jumpsuit the focal point, without overdoing it.

Tip #2: Style your basics using complementary colors; pair with neutral accents. One way to spruce up those boring basics is by pairing contrasting colors together. If you're unsure of what colors are complementary to one another, take a look at a color wheel. The complementary colors fall directly across from one another. A few examples are purple and yellow, blue and orange, and red and green. A neutral bag and shoes will tone the ensemble down a bit, making it easy and wearable.

Tip #3: Try an all white or cream ensemble. Mix up textures to make it pop! A neutral monochromatic color scheme is big this summer, but the look can be a bit dull. To style this trend right, be sure to add textured pieces into the mix, like this silky top with linen shorts. Lace and/or ruffles are also a great combination!

Prada Look For Less

Prada spearheaded the bold stripes trend for Spring.

Prada spearheaded the bold stripes trend for Spring. If you're looking for something just as eye-catching, but without the hefty price tag, check out these similar inspired picks from OnSugar blog Fashion Project9.

Prada's stripes from the Spring 2011 collection are all the rage. The popularity of stripes is going on into summer. There are stripes everywhere. Stripes are not a new design element, but Prada's use of them was really innovative. See The Color of Spring post for more examples. If you'd like to imitate the Prada striped look on a budget, all striped garments that you choose should have crisp stripes (no wavy lines and not variegated in color) and you want to look for tops or dresses with an extended shoulder line. Topshop has some adorable striped pencil skirts and a selection of tops that fit the bill. Also, Zara has a selection of clothing that very closely resembles (perhaps too closely) the Prada Spring collection.- Annamarie

If you're in the market for a crossbody bag, you might want to check out these Fab picks from OnSugar blog Sharp Sisters.

Although I love my big "errand runner" bags which are great for storing all of one's lovely daily essentials, when it comes to traveling I like to downsize. With a trip coming up right around the corner, I've been scouring websites looking for just the right "crossbody" purse to tote around so I can keep my hands free to snap pics. The aqua blue Chloe below is my favorite, but there were so many adorable choices:

MARC BY MARC JACOBS Bianca Dreams Of Monte Carlo Jane On A Chain Crossbody Bag
