For some reason I have pineapple on the brain. I absolutely love it and eat it all the time. So today I went hunting for a pineapple treat to try later. In my searching, I stumbled across this one claiming to make a perfect pineapple cake in less than 10 minutes. Granted, you'd have to use the microwave and would need a microwave safe bundt pan (silicone would work). Personally I think it sounds a little too good to be true, seems like you might as well put it in the oven for twice the time... Unfortunately, I can't actually test this one out because, believe it or not, I don't actually have a microwave (SF kitchen = tiny no counter space). However it seems like you would end up with a pretty standard pineapple upside down cake. So, if you've got a microwave, and need dessert in less than 10 minutes, why don't you give this 9 Minute Microwave Pineapple Cake a try? Then once you've tested it out, let us all know how the outcome was! For the recipe, read more
About two weeks ago I got a very nice email from my older brother Michael. He lives in Los Angeles and is always helping out and that's why he sent me an email full of romantic recipes! Now Mikey doesn't really cook because he stays in a lot of hotel rooms - where he's discovered these amazing cocktail recipes in the hotel magazines, but he took the time to type out the recipes and send them to me (thanks Mikey!!). And now I'm sharing them with you! Today's recipe is for a Strawberry Kiss, a blended creamy dessert drink that is sure to get your sweetie swooning. Stay tuned for the rest of the seductive love potion cocktail recipes.

After a post holiday letdown I look forward to Valentine's Day as an excuse to decorate my house with hearts and shower those I love with gifts. If you're looking for a present to give a friend, sister, or mom on February 14, I recommend buying them something fun for the home. They won't feel guilty about indulging in a fattening chocolatey dessert and in the years to come they can reuse it and remember your love for them.
Red toilet paper is a chic way to vibrantly and easily decorate the bathroom for Valentine's Day. I love this stuff (it also comes in black and orange!) and plan on sending a few rolls to all of my girlfriends who live far away. It's sure to make them smile and feel loved. They come in packs of three in an elegant canister and sell for $15 each.
The kitchen can immediately feel more festive with a heart shaped soap pump by the sink. Washing your hands is a vital step when cooking and during the month of February get in the spirit with this cute little pump. For only $5.39 (it's on sale!) you'll have money left over to splurge on something fabulous for yourself.
There's more love to spread, so read more

I know you had to work all day and are tired and are looking for a dinner that is quick, easy, and healthy. Well look no further than my beef stroganoff. Think beef stroganoff is a slow cooked meal that takes several hours to make? Think again. Mine is quick: ready in the amount of time it takes to cook rice (20 minutes), easy: minimal chopping, especially if you purchase pre sliced mushrooms, and healthy: it has one starch, one meat, and one vegetable. So grab a pen and pad and make a grocery list. Thursday night's special is hearty, creamy beef stroganoff. For the recipe, read more
