I'm a huge fan of guacamole and prefer to make a fresh version rather than purchase it at the store. As often as I make guacamole, I don't know if I need an avocado masher. It's definitely a unique gadget — created by Mexican cooking guru Rick Bayless — but it seems a little nonessential, especially in my compact studio kitchen. A potato masher or a fork squishes avocados just as simply and easily. What are your thoughts on the unitasker?
