Would You Eat This Strawberry Pizza?

It's a strawberry pie, but not the kind you're thinking of.

It's a strawberry pie, but not the kind you're thinking of. Since I'm all about finding new ways to enjoy strawberries, I recently ordered a cornmeal-crusted pizza topped with classic tomato sauce, sweet berries, feta cheese, and mint. Admittedly, the flavor combo was a bit incongruous on a pizza, but I'd definitely order it again.

My only complaint was that the delicate strawberries were nearly overwhelmed in the context. Would you give it a try?

How Long Will It Last?

The other day I opened my refrigerator and pulled out the gourmet Italian bologna I had been snacking on earlier in the week. However, I was greeted by that gross, gag-inducing old lunchmeat smell. Disappointed and shocked, I wondered: Just how long does fresh sliced deli meat last? I did some research and came across an incredibly useful chart that lists tons of ingredients and how long they last in the fridge or freezer.

According to the chart, my open luncheon meat lasts just three to five days in the fridge. To check out the shelf life of a bunch of common ingredients, read more

A cool and refreshing cocktail comes to mind whenever I hear the words Memorial Day, and this delicious kiwi lime drink is perfect for all types of Memorial Day barbecues.

A cool and refreshing cocktail comes to mind whenever I hear the words Memorial Day, and this delicious kiwi lime drink is perfect for all types of Memorial Day barbecues. The recipe, which combines fresh chunks of kiwi, minced ginger, simple syrup, lime juice, and ginger ale, is nonalcoholic. However, vodka, gin, or a light rum can easily be added. Choose your favorite spirit and modify the recipe to suit your drinking needs. It's wonderful with or without the alcohol, so consider making and labeling two pitchers.

If the day is especially hot, remember to stock up on ice, water, sodas, and cooling beverages like lemonade or iced tea. For the recipe to this kiwi lime cocktail, read more

Not Your Regular Nachos: Spicy Shrimp Nachos

If you're looking for a lighter variation on the classic nacho recipe, I highly recommend these spicy shrimp nachos.

If you're looking for a lighter variation on the classic nacho recipe, I highly recommend these spicy shrimp nachos. They may not be super Fit friendly, but they are less heavy than the meat-laden, overly cheesy nachos I normally make.
The shrimp is tossed with a sweet-hot blend of sugar and spices before being grilled. A fresh, colorful salsa that combines mango, jalapeño, and red pepper tops the shrimp and chips. A generous sprinkling of pepper jack cheese finishes off this scrumptious dish. To take a look at the recipe, read more

Rosann Can't Hang in Hell With Only Three Years Experience

After several mediocre dinner services, Rosann — along with her Brooklyn accent — was kicked off this week's episode of Hell's Kitchen.

After several mediocre dinner services, Rosann — along with her Brooklyn accent — was kicked off this week's episode of Hell's Kitchen. An appropriate unsurprising cut, Rosann didn't have the confidence to cook under Gordon Ramsay. Yesterday Rosann and I had the chance to chat about her experience on Hell's Kitchen.
