Happy Hour: Monkey's Lunch

I know what you're thinking: Why on earth is Yum drinking a banana-flavored cocktail with a ridiculous name?

I know what you're thinking: Why on earth is Yum drinking a banana-flavored cocktail with a ridiculous name? Well, sometimes a girl needs a silly, sugary drink — and sometimes a girl has a bunch of creme de banana left over from a bananas foster recipe. In search of a use for this odd liqueur, I headed to the Internet and found the Monkey's Lunch.

Though it may sound a bit off-putting, this drink was yummy enough that I drank the whole thing and would happily drink another. The banana flavor is very subtle, like a tropical twist on a White Russian. If it sounds a-peel-ing (sorry, couldn't resist), get the recipe when you read more

Come Party With Me: Pool Party — The Look

Make the outdoor area surrounding your pool as lush, clean, and comfortable as possible for the pool party.

Make the outdoor area surrounding your pool as lush, clean, and comfortable as possible for the pool party. Set up a picnic table and plenty of lounge chairs. Stack folded beach towels on the chairs and let guests use them at their leisure. Stick tiki torches in the ground along walkways. Serve the drinks in plastic cups (with palm tree swizzle sticks) and the food on plastic plates. Place a rock on paper napkins so they don't blow into the pool. Arrange colorful bouquets of flowers in pretty blue vases.

When PartySugar and I attended the Food and Wine Classic in Aspen, we ended up changing flights around dinner time. Being a bit peckish, and always in the mood to eat, we headed straight for the airport restaurant to grab some food. When we got there I remembered a friend of mine who never eats in airports. She feels they're too expensive and overpriced. I agree, but sometimes you need food. What do you think? Do you eat in airport restaurants?

In light of that, I thought I would put together a quiz testing your shelf life knowledge. Can you guess the lifespan of the following products?

Off to Market: Popsicle Molds

This summer popsicles are all the rage.

This summer popsicles are all the rage. While YumSugar's been experimenting with them for weeks now, I have yet to join her on this icy adventure. The reason I haven't made popsicles is because I don't own any popsicle molds. However, I'm dying to whip up some fabulous frozen treats, so can you help me find some popsicle molds? Look for popsicle molds in any color, shape, or size. If you find some cool sticks, save those as well! Bookmark everything you find in the Yum Market on TeamSugar with the keyword tag, Popsicle Molds. Thanks for your help and happy hunting!
