Between writing about the new marketing push for Kraft Singles and Bobby Flay offering sandwich-making tips, I've had grilled cheese on the brain. I'm a particularly huge fan of Hog Island's version, as well as Party's rendition with taleggio, escarole, and onion jam. Today, I'm making a variation based on ingredients I have on hand: sweet butter, aged gruyere, and artisan Pugliese bread. What's your perfect combination?

Between seder dinners and Easter brunches, it's been a busy week. Still, we managed to catch up with the girls of The Hills and score some time with Iron Chef favorite Bobby Flay. Were you paying attention to the goings-on of this week? Find out when you take this quiz.
In terms of flavored vodkas, I've always enjoyed Absolut's more creative offerings. So naturally I was excited when I got my hands on a bottle of Absolut's newest flavor — Absolut Mango. The brand crafted several recipes to feature the spirit and I decided to experiment with this innovative cocktail that combines sage, cucumber, and lime juice.
While I've had a cocktail with basil and another with cilantro, I've never had any that uses sage. It adds a woodsy, earthiness to the drink — which is delectable and refreshing. The ingredients meld perfectly to make a cocktail that is slightly sweet, tart, and delightfully fruity. For the recipe, read more
Although many of you believe produce should only be consumed if it's in season, would you feel the same way about meat? In their regular food column for The Atlantic, sustainable agriculture pioneers Bill and Nicolette Niman claim that meat should be treated with the same seasonal sensitivity. The couple makes this argument:
If we are seeking something better from our food and our food system, we must begin regarding meat and other foods derived from animals as among foods that have a season. Environmentally sustainable, humane animal farming is based on grass. All animals — cattle, pigs, chickens, turkeys — benefit from being on pasture. Like other vegetation, grass has a season of plenty, a time of growth, reproduction, and then retreat.
While I think there's a great deal of validity to the Nimans' perspective, I also think it would be a drastic and impractical measure given the economic environment we face today. How do you feel about it?
While I always have fresh pasta on hand to use in quick weeknight recipes, I rarely employ gnocchi in the same way. However, this recipe is going to change that!
Wilted spinach, sauteed onions, and Italian sausage come together to make a sauce that is flavorful and filling. A generous helping of Parmesan cheese adds a rich, creaminess to the final dish.

It's easy to create an elegant, inviting look for an Easter brunch or dinner. Start with a sunny yellow tablecloth. From there, throw in simple white plates, crisp cotton napkins, and vintage-looking utensils.
Champagne flutes are a must to enjoy the sparkling signature cocktail. Glitter eggs are delicately pretty, while a white tabletop candelabra is a stunning focal point.
Don't forget at least one beautiful bouquet of pastel-colored Spring flowers. Chocolate bunnies are a delightful party favor.
