In case you haven't heard, "real" frozen yogurt is all the rage now. In fact it's so hot that there's not one, but two franchises that cater to the new trend. FitSugar wrote about the differences between the two celebrity hotspots, and it seems like Kirsten Dunst prefers pinkberry. I found this photo of her keeping cool with pinkberry this past October.

So, what's the big deal with pinkberry and why does everyone love it? Unfortunately I don't live in LA or New York (where their franchises can be found), so I have yet to taste it. However, since I knew you guys would be interested, I sent my YumSugar undercover reporter (aka my brother) out to do some investigating.

Some of you have been asking for it and here it is: my party plan for the ultimate Super Bowl party. The Super Bowl is one of those random holidays/events where EVERYONE celebrates. Even if you are like me and don't really care too much for football (or sports in general for that matter), you love the Super Bowl because of the parties. I can't remember a Super Bowl where I didn't attend or host a party, and this year will be no different.
When else do we have an excuse to pig out on football and bar finger foods? As you can tell I am super excited for the Super Bowl. We have 6 days until the game (you can find the official countdown at Super Bowl Heaven) and we have a lot of work to do, starting with the invitations. To see what I'll be sending (including a TON of step-by-step pictures), read more
The great thing about making a roast chicken for dinner, is that you're almost always guaranteed leftovers for the next day. You could just reheat them, serve up some mashed potatoes (or, since this was Roasted Lemongrass Chicken serve up some rice), maybe make a side of green beans and call it a meal. Or, you could turn it into a number of other tasty delights. For example, you could use a bit of curry paste and coconut milk and create a lemongrass infused chicken curry. Or you could keep it simple and create a great chicken sandwich. However, since we've got the lemongrass flavor in these leftovers, I propose a nice light Thai flavored rice salad. Since the colonization of America, milk has played an important part in our everyday life. The first dairy cows were imported in to the settlement in Jamestown, Virginia and originally the milkmen filled customer's jugs with milk. However, on today's date, January 29, exactly 129 years ago, the history of milk was changed forever. A certain George Lester created a patent for the first glass milk container. Many people today for their nostalgic simpleness of a lost era collect milk bottles. The most valuable ones are embossed and painted bottles with the names of dairies on them. I found a great collection of them and thought I'd share a few with you. Click on an image for a larger view:

Everyone I know is crazy about Thai food. I'm not sure how much longer the craze will last (I think North African is going to become the new Thai, which was the new Chinese), so while everyone is still gaga for it, I've decided that I should find some Thai inspired recipes to share. For tonight's Sunday Dinner I've decided to treat you to a Roasted Lemongrass Chicken. It's fragrant and moist and can be served with or without a Sweet Lime Sauce. For the recipe read more
The next item on my ultimate kitchen list is a 2 quart saucepan. This size is perfect for sauces, heating up small amounts of soup, oatmeal, etc.
Try to find one that has a good grip and a handle that will not conduct too much heat. It should also have a heavy base that will conduct heat evenly. Also, make sure that the pan you choose comes with a well fitted lid.
A good choice for your kitchen is a stainless steel pan with a copper core or bottom. The copper in this 2 quart saucepan from All-Clad will provide for quick and even heat distribution and the stainless steel won't react with food. It has long "stay-cool" handles and a rolled edge rim for dripless pouring. However, it's definitely a splurge at $235 (registry time!).
