Yuzu
A citrus fruit of East Asian origin that is tangerine sized and green or yellow in color, with a tart flavor and distinctive floral aroma. Yuzu is rarely eaten as a raw fruit (and its fresh form is hard to come by in the United States). Rather, its juice is used to flavor dishes and sauces, and its rind is used to make marmalade or garnish foods such as miso soup. Source
Besides the requisite cup of coffee, my favorite brunch drink is the Bloody Mary. But after trying the Bloody Maria, I think I may need to reconsider.
A Bloody Maria is essentially a Bloody Mary made with tequila instead of vodka. While vodka is essentially flavorless, tequila packs a toasted, oaky, tart punch, adding even more kick to a drink that's already full of hot and tart flavors.
I love bold food and drink, so I thought this was absolutely delicious. Hail Maria, full of taste!
The brand Nestlé is synonymous with chocolate bars, frozen meals, and those delectable Toll House cookies, but it's possible that the company may soon be just as recognizable at the cosmetics counter.
The bottled drinks come in two flavors, raspberry jasmine and pomegranate lychee, and are available for $7 a pop at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman department stores. The blends claim to "nourish and hydrate the skin from within and help fight free radicals, known contributors to the signs of aging."
This drink is just the latest in a bevy of supplements that have hit the market. I've always been perplexed by beauty drinks: do they work? Have you ever tried a beauty supplement in the form of food or drink?
Last Friday night, my sister surprised me with a new trivia game by publishing house Chronicle Books. Created for serious food lovers, the game is addictive and informative. The Foodie Fight ($18.95) is like Trivial Pursuit but with questions related to food history, celebrity chefs, cultural cuisines, cooking techniques, and more. The game can be played in teams or alone. Each correct answer is rewarded with a small playing piece that fits into the color coded cards. The first team to answer the most questions, and completely fill in the card, wins. To find out what I thought of the game, read more

The new season of the Martha Stewart Show debuts today and besides proclaiming to be her "biggest" season yet, Martha has invited two prominent food bloggers to participate in Wednesday's program. Smitten Kitchen's Deb Perelman and Matt Bites' Matt Armendariz will sit down with Martha to discuss their interesting lives as food bloggers.
Always one to keep up with the current trends, it's no surprise that Martha would invite these prolific, popular bloggers to join her in the kitchen. Pearelman and Armendariz aren't the first food bloggers to appear on the show, last season Bakerella taught Martha how to make her famous mini-cake pops. I'm a huge fan of Ms. Stewart and I'm excited to see what she cooks up.
Will you watch? What do you think about the blogging show?
A while back, you told us that you love oysters. We do, too! My favorite way to enjoy them is on the half shell, with a little bit of soy sauce and green onion. I have friends who will only eat cooked oysters, though, and I know a few people who prefer to eat them with no dressing whatsoever. Tell me: how do you eat your oysters?
