I love it when I find a recipe that uses basic ingredients in new and interesting ways. In this case, the simple components are shrimp and marinara sauce. While the two are delightful alone, I've never thought of combining them to make a scrumptious sauce for pasta. This recipe — from our friends at MyRecipes.com — cooks the shrimp and mushrooms in a marinara sauce seasoned with lots of crushed red pepper flakes. To learn how to make it, read more
If you're a fan of Burger King, you might not think twice before biting into a Whopper with bacon and cheese. However, you may not be so eager to bite into this specific Whopper because it has 15 times as much bacon as the regular Whopper! I'm a bacon lover, but find this exceptionally excessive. How about you? Would you eat this Whopper with cheese and tons of extra bacon?

Apple pie is one of those dishes that tastes great no matter what time of year, so why not enjoy it now? If you've ever wanted to know more about apple pie, here's your chance. I've put together this little quiz, so let's get started!
Ever since I spoke to Pat and Gina Neely, I've wanted to make their famous strawberry shortcut cake. Last weekend, I finally got around to making this divinely delicious dessert that combines vanilla cake with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and strawberry gelatin.
Gina's recipe uses a store-bought cake mix, but I had extra time so I made a vanilla cake from scratch. Thanks to the strawberry jello, the cake is super moist and insanely luscious. If you need a Spring dessert to feed a crowd, I highly recommend this cake. To check out the recipe, read more
Last week a bunch of us partook in an after work happy hour. We spent the evening at Shanghai 1930, where we ate tasty dim sum morsels, and drank way too many drinks. One of these drinks was a straightforward absinthe service. It's an interesting and dramatic thing to order — the sugar is lit on fire — with a nice, full flavor. However, you'll want to avoid it if you dislike anise flavored things. To see how to properly serve absinthe, click the "Start" button.

This soup ends up being a good source of three blood pressure-lowering minerals since the milk adds calcium and the potatoes deliver a dose of potassium, as well as magnesium.
