Recently CasaSugar and I were chatting about how nature's inspiring a lot of current design trends. The hot trend lies with our feathered friends. From cocktail plates to vegetable peelers, they're cropping up everywhere. Perhaps designers realized they needed things to hang out in all those empty branches?

I was first drawn to The Show ($12-15) wines because of their awesome labels. The labels, which were designed by Nashville's Hatch Show Print — one of America's oldest working letterpress print shops, and famous concert poster creator — feature bold colors and eye-catching imagery. Three labels were created, but the winery couldn't decide on one, so they released all three!

Created by Three Thieves, this Cabernet Sauvignon is bold and easy to drink. It has spicy notes of blackberries with a subtly sweet aftertaste. Give it some time to breathe and you'll definitely have a hit at your next party.

If you love a sleek, but unique martini glass, you'll probably be interested in the Bombay Sapphire 2008 Designer Glass Competition. It's an annual, international event held in London. Right now the folks at Bombay Sapphire US are looking for a glass to represent the United States. They have narrowed the field to 10 finalists and need your help choosing one. So who are you going to vote for? A few of my faves are above, but there are definitely some unique glasses in the running! Voting ends May 26 and the winner will be announced on June 5.
