Yesterday we ruminated over how insidery and confusing the man-tackles-mom pro-life commercial is, and now the Washington Post dug up the ad that didn't air. The one that makes semisense. While it also shies away from saying abortion and is still completely cryptic, it does not distract with ridiculous antics, making it less WTF? and more heartwarming.
CBS has a ban on advocacy ads, so the group paying for the ad, Focus on the Family, pretty much had to make it as passive as possible to get it through. Throwing in a tackle probably made it a lot less partisan and, unfortunately, a lot more incomprehensible.
Taylor Lautner showcased his competitive streak on Saturday in Miami during a celebrity beach football tournament before Sunday's Super Bowl. Despite some impressive diving moves, Taylor's team lost, but he was still good-natured enough to chat after the game about some of his craziest Twilight fan encounters.
The New Orleans Saints were the champions last night, but there were stars cheering for both sides during the Super Bowl. Miami was buzzing with even more celebrities than usual from the parties to the performances to chances to get in the game a bit themselves. Even famous kids like Suri Cruise and Maddox Jolie-Pitt got in on the action!
