This past weekend, while most of America was prepping for the biggest food holiday of the year, a few lucky eaters were busy whetting their appetites at the Barbados Food & Wine and Rum Festival. We couldn't help but be envious flipping through Instagram as we saw creations made by the likes of Marcus Samuelsson and Anne Burrell with local ingredients (think Bajan lobster and fresh green coconuts). While I enjoyed amazing bites from some of the world's most prestigious chefs, my favorite meal at the Food & Wine and Rum Festival in Barbados was a traditional buffet that featured local cuisine.
