Mommy brain can make a person's head hurt! Some women claim their minds turned to mush after entering motherhood, but new research says the opposite. According to a study, certain parts of the brain grow when a woman is in the postpartum phase. The report said:
"'And those moms who are particularly awestruck and gushy over their babies show more growth in the brain areas associated with motivation, reward and the regulation of emotion,' the researchers said."
Science aside, inquisitive youngsters often keep their parents engaged (and searching for answers) — especially during the "why" phase which can lead to new found knowledge. What has your experience been?
