>> The dress Ralph Lauren designed for daughter Dylan to wed hedge fund founder Paul Arrouet appears in the August 2011 issue of Vogue. Lauren, who reportedly consulted with Vera Wang on the dress's design, decided on a handmade duchesse-satin, silk-tulle, and georgette embroidered dress with a tiered, nine-foot train. "I had to do something that was better than ever before," he told Oprah before the June 2011 wedding, which took place at his 300-acre Westchester County, New York estate. "When you do something for your family or your daughter, I mean it's the only daughter I have — beautiful girl. I want to just give her something that she'd really treasure and give her something that would be really amazing. I want her to feel fantastic."

Lauren also designed the bridesmaid's dresses in Dylan's Candy Bar-logo colors, with specially-made Spanx if the wearer so opted. "I also was inspired by a New York Times front page of one of my father's Spring/Summer collections where they showed the finale lineup of all those vivid colors of satin evening dresses," Dylan explained.

>> Oprah has scored another coup before her time as host of The Oprah Winfrey Show shortly comes to an end: Wednesday's show is dedicated to Ralph Lauren, who gives his first television interview in 20 years. It's also the first time camera crews were let into the designer's RRL Ranch in Telluride, CO. The two ride around the place in Lauren's vintage 1948 Jeep, get a rare look at his antique-filled tepees, and chat about his career and his future. Winfrey also sits down with Lauren's wife, Ricky, and children Andrew, David and Dylan (who are both getting married this year). [WWD]

I don't think I've ever met one person who has never read (and didn't love) Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We definitely love candy over here, which is why we're really excited to introduce Dylan Lauren, the female version of a real-life Willy Wonka and the owner of Dylan's Candy Bar, for this week's In Her Shoes series!

SavvySugar: Tell me why this is your dream job?

Dylan Lauren: I love the fact that I can taste some candy all day and eat candy. It’s just a lot of fun. I go to all the state shows . . . and  I get to design and use my art and fashion background [because] we have a lot of nonedible products. We sell handbags, pajamas, accessories and t-shirts that all have candy themes and so I designed those. I also work on packaging and labels and all that stuff as well. It’s great!

SS: What's your favorite candy?

DL: I like a lot of things, right now I say candy corn and marshmallow fluff. I eat a lot of sugar, two handfuls of candy a day.

Spring Fashion Week is moving right along in NYC, with lots of celebs turning out to take it all in. Rachel Zoe put aside her fashion flu to join Blake Lively and Brad Goreski last night at Marchesa to check out their Madame Butterfly-inspired collection. Leighton Meester kept her show stamina up after seeing 3.1 Phillip Lim yesterday, attending Proenza Schouler's urban scuba collection alongside Rachel McAdams and Anna Wintour, whose recent chumminess has people speculating about her future Vogue collaboration. Janet Jackson even stepped out for her first time, taking in Ralph Lauren today with his daughter Dylan.
