Victoria Beckham Is a Bright Sight at FNO
Victoria Beckham donned a bright orange dress to get in on the Fashion's Night Out action in NYC today. She made an appearance at the Bergdorf Goodman department store in Midtown for an appearance alongside Vogue's Anna Wintour. Posh is a big supporter of Fashion's Night Out, having made cameos in the past, too. She also popped up in a special Vogue video promotion for the 2012 agenda. Victoria's in the Big Apple prepping and finalizing casting decisions for her Victoria Beckham and Victoria, Victoria Beckham shows.
Bing Bang's Anna Sheffield On Her New Commitment Collection and Why She Loves Fashion Week

>> We caught up with jewelry designer Anna Sheffield at last night's Creatures of Comfort Fashion's Night Out event, where she told us not only why she loves Fashion Week, but also all about her new project: a bridal and commitment line. Read on for more from our interview with the designer.
What's your favorite thing about Fashion Week?
"The best part about Fashion Week is that you get to see people from all around the world around this time every year and how awesome they look. It's really good inspiration for designers."
What are your FNO plans?
"I just launched a capsule collection called Bing Bang for WeSC. I just came from the party at the store on Lafayette. It's a small capsule collection of jewelry inspired by NYC and I also created these rose gold headphones for them — it's my favorite thing."
How do you stay sane during Fashion Week?
"Lots of green tea and cookies."
What are you currently working on?
I'm launching a new bridal and commitment jewelry collection next Tuesday. I have about 40 styles, so with all the variations, there are hundreds of pieces. It's based on the idea of bridal and commitment so you can mix and match. Promise rings, stacking rings, or anniversary pieces.
What shows do you plan on attending?
"I'm definitely going to see Jeremy Scott. It's the most inspiring part of the week for me every season. I'm also going to see Mara Hoffman. Those are two people I love. I'll see what else I fit in this week."

>> Lindsay Lohan Already On the Outs at Ungaro? —Ungaro CEO Mounir Moufarrige seemed ready for all the diva moves new brand artistic director Lindsay Lohan might pull, but not even a week since her appointment was announced, she's already skipped a scheduled call with the Wall Street Journal and refused to pose for pictures at Ungaro's Fashion's Night Out event — and those are just the documented offenses. The latter move, however, has prompted a rumor that she might be fired . . . [The Cut Twitter]
>> Fashion's Night Out Could Become A Permanent Fashion Week Fixture —If CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg has her say (and Anna Wintour will assuredly support her), Fashion's Night Out won't be a one-off event: “It was a huge success. It was fantastic; it’s just like Hallmark, when they invented Mother’s Day. Every Thursday before Fashion Week, we will have Fashion’s Night Out!” But nothing has officially been decided, and retailers are waiting to examine the residual effects on sales before the possibility is further examined. Simon Doonan says he's unsure about doing it again, because Fashion's Night Out didn't generate big sales for Barneys. [The Cut, The Cut Twitter]

Padma Lakshmi Brings Fashion and Food Together
Last night as a part of Fashion's Night Out, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour's event to stimulate the economy, Bergdorf Goodman threw a Top Chef style cookoff in its seventh floor restaurant. Fashion designers Cynthia Rowley, Edward Bess, Gilles Mendel, Lela Rose, Naeem Kahn, and Peter Som created recipes, and Padma Lakshmi, clad in a leather minidress, hosted the event. Although the place was packed, the gorgeous Padma kept the chatty crowd under control. The designer's dishes — Som's fried oysters with blood orange gastrique and tartar sauce sounds divine! — were passed around for partygoers to try.
We've gotten our hands on their recipes, so to check them out, read more
>> Anna Wintour Has A Shopping List for Tonight's Fashion's Night Out — In between kicking Fashion's Night Out off tonight at Macy's in Queens, stopping by Intermix to see Sienna Miller, Oscar de la Renta to see the designer sing, and Saks for the William Rast pop-up (she loves that Justin Timberlake), among other things, Anna Wintour does indeed plan to shop. She's looking to buy "something in red, some new boots, and some kind of savage fur." [Times UK]
Victoria Beckham Debuts New Short Film for Collection, To Make Fashion's Night Out Appearance at Bergdorf

>> Victoria Beckham recently let her Giorgio Armani contract expire so that she could focus more on her beauty and fashion lines; she's said to be showing her Victoria Beckham Collection — which Roland Mouret has assisted her with in the past — at New York Fashion Week again for Spring 2010, but this weekend, she's releasing a short film featuring her Fall 2009 collection (with Mouret's sharply tailored handiwork visible) online.
This is her second foray into the fashion promo film arena — her first effort, for Spring 2009, came out at the end of last year. The new short, "Swings," features eight models, perched on rope swings, moving in unison — plus a cameo by Beckham — and was filmed in a single take in London last month. Matt Jerrett directed and Beckham's (and Mouret's) backer, 19 Entertainment, produced. The film debuts Sunday on BergdorfGoodman.com, to promote Beckham's appearance at the New York store during Fashion's Night Out Sept. 10, and DazedDigital, which has the UK exclusive, is posting the full film Sunday at 3 pm UK time.
