YumSugar Gift Guide: The Global Gourmand Grandpa

Shopping for an epicurean grandpa who's more well-traveled than you?

Shopping for an epicurean grandpa who's more well-traveled than you? Fret not. If he's been tasting his way around the globe, chances are, he's open to eating anything.

If he's enjoyed traveling to Japan, present him with this matcha green tea set. Remind him of his trip to Scotland last year with Spey smoked salmon. Or send him an assortment of exotic imports: It's the closest you can get to giving him the world.

London Fashion Week: Osman Yousefzada A/W 08

The former banker and Cambridge graduate, Osman Yousefzada, showed his second collection for A/W 08 in this London Fashion Week.

The former banker and Cambridge graduate, Osman Yousefzada, showed his second collection for A/W 08 in this London Fashion Week. Yousefzada typically embraces his own cultural lineage and the multiculturalism in his home of London to fuel an ever-globally minded label. His pieces, in other words, are always pulled for the 'global trend' stories in American magazines, though his designs do not necessarily highlight the specific cultural prominence dictated by them. Yousefzada is one who naturally sees the world from a diverse perspective and his designs, therefore, organically reflect that dynamic. This season, Yousefzada references Japan (embroidery) and India (color) while giving a slight nod to western costume (Spanish bullfighters).

SuperLove: Chat the Planet

One of the things about this site I value is the effort we make to know each other and support each through sharing our experiences.

One of the things about this site I value is the effort we make to know each other and support each through sharing our experiences. In very personal ways, we explore how we are similar and how we are different, and a real effort is made to be curious, open, and accepting. We're funny, serious, searching and we're real. We 'talk' and we 'listen', which I believe constitute two crucial means by which we come to know, and accept, ourselves and others.

I found a new website called Chat the Planet that I want to share with you; it brings together young people from all over the world to talk about what it's like to be who they are, where they are.
