The Best Lines From NYCWFF's Anthony Bourdain Roast

Talk about starting off with a bang: last night, the 2012 New York City Wine & Food Festival kicked off with a comedic roast of Anthony Bourdain by celebrity chefs and comedians, and it seemed like just about every star chef who's seen a camera was there to sling mud at the food personality who made his name slinging mud.

As pal Sarah Silverman told Bourdain in a prerecorded video message: "There's gonna be a lot of great lines tonight, and you can't snort any of them."

Great lines indeed. It was a rare opportunity to see another side of the stars of Food Network, who puts on the yearly festival; everyone from the bubbly Rachael Ray to the modest Eric Ripert cracked a dirty sex joke (or 10). Although Bourdain was the subject of the roast, there were plenty of other subjects of interest, primarily Guy Fieri's douchiness, Mario Batali fat jokes, and Ray's inability to cook. Catch up with the best lines you missed from last night's shockingly irreverent, profanity-filled comedy roast of Anthony Bourdain.

Where in SOBEWFF Is Fake Guy Fieri?

It's no secret here at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival that Guy Fieri's demo is hands down the most highly anticipated cooking demo of the festival.

It's no secret here at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival that Guy Fieri's demo is hands down the most highly anticipated cooking demo of the festival. After all, last year's saw fanatical crowds and the onslaught of a slurricane machine.

While Guy's demo this year was a feat not to be missed, perhaps even more entertaining was the presence of a Guy Fieri impostor who we caught sight of while waiting for Guy's demo to begin. We thought he was the man of the hour himself from afar, with the shirt, the goatee, the spiky platinum tips, and the sunglasses — but quickly realized this man wasn't rocking the same sun glow that, hours before, was pouring us cups of homemade jungle juice at the SOBE afterparty.

It's no secret that Guy Fieri has impostors, but this one had no fear of showing up his favorite celebrity chef. Where did he turn up, one might wonder? Well, everywhere: in the tents tasting off-the-hook food, chatting it up with other festival-goers, and waiting for his idol to take center stage. Keep clicking to see some of the places we spotted Guy Fieri's impersonator.

Guy Fieri Dishes on His New Show With Rachael Ray

What's Food Network's Guy Fieri been up to lately?

What's Food Network's Guy Fieri been up to lately? We found out this week when we spent a minute with him at the LA Food & Wine Festival. He took some time to talk about the guests (among them: Coolio and Joey Fatone) who'll be on his new competition show with Rachael Ray, his favorite barbecue style (guess what part of the country it's from!), and the best part of being host of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

More Details on Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri's Food Network Show

At her South Beach cooking demo, Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri announced they'd be hosting a new show on Food Network later this year.

At her South Beach cooking demo, Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri announced they'd be hosting a new show on Food Network later this year. Ray was pretty mum about the details, but did say it'd be a "culinary version of Dancing With the Stars."

Well, Rachael and Guy took to the airwaves today to formally announce their upcoming show, amid a cheering crowd and a culinary assembly that included Mario Batali, Sara Moulton, and Graham Kerr. Said Fieri: It's going to be "a brother and sister culinary battle. We're going to get some celebrities that are going to come on the show, with different levels of culinary ability but who are all into cooking. Rachael's going to get five, I'm going to get five, and it's going to battle royale."

It remains to be seen who'll win — or, even more important, which stars will face off on the show. We're hedging our bets on former Fieri sidekick Matthew McConaughey, as well as celebs-turned-chefs like Gwyneth Paltrow, Eva Longoria, and Sheryl Crow. Is this new show worthy of your TiVo? Who do you want to see on the competition?
