A few weeks ago, there was a hot dog promotion at a street cart near my office, Zog's Dogs. To celebrate its one-year anniversary, the eatery was handing out coupons for gratis hot dogs. As a hot dog lover myself, I couldn't resist getting in on the deal — but when I got to the line and saw how long it was, I had to turn away. Despite the fact that we're in a recession and I'm always happy to save a little cash, I deemed a 30-minute wait for a $4 hot dog simply excessive and went somewhere else.
