Last week Yum and I were fortunate enough to attend San Francisco's Taste of the Nation. One of my favorite bites was a slice of pizza from Tony's. The thing that made this pizza so memorable was the unbelievably delicious pesto sauce. It reminded me how much I love pizza with pesto. How about you?
It's almost July, and the palatable parties just keep coming. If you're a wine enthusiast, head over to Pinot Days or the Telluride Wine Festival. Beer more your thing? Throw back some sake bombs at the Beer & Sake Festival, or hit up the Colorado Brewfest. Here in Fog City, the Best of the Bay looks to be one heck of a soirée. What happenings are you hitting up?

Last Thursday, Yum and I had the pleasure of attending a delicious fundraiser in San Francisco. Taste of the Nation is a one-night event held in major cities across the United States; the proceeds are donated to Share Our Strength — an organization that fights the hunger crisis in America. Chefs from all over the city came together to serve bites that represented their restaurants and culinary point of view. Here, you'll find out what we enjoyed at the tasting reception that was held at the Giants stadium.
If you thought last week was jam-packed with food events, then get excited for this week, as the festivals just get better. If I could teleport myself around the world, there's no question I'd hit up the nation's celebrations, from pickles to pie to asparagus to spam.
