A highlight of any food festival is getting to taste a bunch of fabulous bites. The Food Network's NYC Wine and Food Festival was no different, the tent featured over 50 restaurants and attracted more than 4,000 people in two days. I was a champion taster and ate everything I came across. Here, I've rounded up my top tastes.
A Closer Look at the Grand Tasting
Words and pictures can hardly describe the grand tasting tent at the Food and Wine Classic in Aspen. When I first walked in, I was overwhelmed by the never-ending tables filled with wine, cocktails, and food. However, by the third tasting, I felt like a seasoned pro. To share the incredible experience, we've put together this exclusive video. Enjoy!

Drinking the Tasting Tent: Cocktails
With the food ranging from s'more bites to duck paninis, you could imagine that the liquid side of Aspen was also quite varied. Although it's called the Food and Wine Classic, there were actually loads of mixed drinks to be found. During one of the five grand tastings, PartySugar and I ended up skipping the wine and going straight for the cocktails. To check out some of our favorite finds just click the "Start" button.
Tasting the Tasting Tent
At the three day Food and Wine Classic in Aspen there are five Grand Tastings: two on Friday, two on Saturday, and one on Sunday. During each session, the public is invited to enter the tasting tents and try a plethora of food and drink. At these power tastings I experienced some delicious bites. Here's a collection of my favorite foods from the tents.
Baby's First Taste of Sour
These vids of babies tasting lemons never get old. You'd think Emma here was sampling a fine wine, the way she savors this tasting. She takes an initial nibble, inspects the slice, goes in for another taste, and then gnaws on it a bit. The verdict? Fast forward to 1:05. I think that pretty much speaks for itself.
Baby Is Pear-plexed!
Does baby like or not like? That is the question. This poor fella can't make sense of this pear concoction. Mom seems to think it's worth his while, but his taste buds are tingling, screaming, and wanting nothing to do with it. So he muscles through all the gagging and tries his darndest to enjoy the tang, but sheesh! Lemons and pears cannot be trusted.
You Can't Handle The Cute!
Babies, babies, and more babies. They make the funniest expressions when taste testing foods, but who knew a trip through a tunnel would elicit this kind of reaction? Never underestimate the trauma of the birth canal! You can practically hear this playing through this kid's head as the lights flash by...
Thanks, i am bored!
The Ultimate Baby Vs. Lemon Compilation
You'd have to be a serious sourpuss not to giggle during this one. We've seen a few of these taste-tasting tots before, but most are new (lemon fresh?) and equally as entertaining. My fave is the curly haired cutie in the beginning who throws down the lemon in disgust and then throws a diva tantrum. (What I want to know is, why is everyone feeding their babies lemons? Did I miss the news on the scurvy epidemic?!)
Baby Puckers Up
Yet another baby. Yet another lemon. And yet, I never tire of seeing these first-time reactions. (Thanks, College Humor!)
