With the finale of Top Chef Masters last night, season two came to a close, and the winner, who beat out 21 of the country's most acclaimed chefs, turned out to be somewhat of an upset. Curious to know who took home the title? Find out when you keep reading.

Chicago chef Rick Bayless isn't just your favorite male chef; he's also one of mine, too. I've always had a soft spot for the Top Chef Masters season one winner's earnest kindness and passion for regional Mexican cooking — and now I know he has a killer sense of humor, too.

Check out this video, which Time Out Chicago put together with Bayless for its recent Eat Out Awards. In it, the celebrity chef pokes fun at things like his use of Twitter, his post-Top Chef Masters zealous fan following, his geeky passion for exotic Mexican produce, and his remarkably agreeable nature. But he departs from that last quality with an unforeseen mean streak at 1:50, making for the best Rick moment of all time. See the video, after the jump.

If seeing the crotchety Gael Greene once a week as a judge on Top Chef Masters is already enough for you, then brace yourself: she may soon be the subject of a television series on cable network Starz. The premium channel is developing Greene's book, Insatiable: Tales from a Life of Delicious Excess, into an hourlong series.

The polarizing memoir covers not only Greene's 40 years as the restaurant critic at New York Magazine, but also her days at Studio 54 in the 1970s and her infamous trysts with chefs, porn stars, and celebrities like Elvis Presley, Burt Reynolds, and Clint Eastwood. "I am flying," Greene said of the new project. Starz CEO Chris Albrecht called the book "a story that will lend itself to a richly entertaining series well suited to premium television."

I agree, but I'm not sure how much of her over-the-top personality I can stand. Would you watch the show?

Last night saw the debut of the sophomore season of Top Chef Masters. At least 75 percent of you said you were tuning in, so I want to know what you think: will it be more exciting than season one? Who made the best food this time around?

The second season of Top Chef Masters is set to premiere on April 7 and Entertainment Weekly has revealed the lineup of participating chefs. Kelly Choi will continue to host and the judges, James Oseland, Gael Greene, and Jay Reyner, will be joined by Gail Simmons. There's also an exciting new cast of guest judges including Andrew Zimmerman, Hank Azaria, and Mekhi Phifer.
